Hey guys,

I was reading the pluid thread in the general eliquid discussion, and someone posted a list of which juices leach plastic.. on that list was TPA RY4 double... umm what? really?

I have it stored in plastic bottles, I currently use it in a Kanger T3... this has me a bit concerned...

anyone know about this? I really dont want to be vaping plastic...

Cheers!

Well, my first question would be, who wrote the list? Also, if it's a compilation of people submitting ingredients, what proof, rather, how did that individual come to the conclusion that this flavoring is leaching plastic?

Is it because of taste? Did it actually create a hole in their bottle? Is there floating pieces of plastic in the bottle? Where did the bottle come from?

I haven't seen any evidence of this happening, personally. I use the same bottle(s) for Double RY4, though, I generally only mix it 10mls at a time. And each batch is usually gone before 4 days.

I have the Double in plastic bottles and glass also.. in 50ml and in 30ml..... i have had the plastic bottle steeping for about 4 weeks..... i dont have a hole in my bottle..

let's see if it still tastes good .. yeap! let's see if theres any plastic taste to it....... nope!..

case closed.

you have to understand that you never know where some people might be storing their juice, bottles, flavoring, syringes... and you gotta take these things into consideration... ahhhhhh DIY .. you gotta do it yourself to see if certain things work for you and to see if things that other people claim are correct for you or not.

in conclusion.... this doesnt happen to my double ry4... ..and the double ry4 (tfa) that i get.. come from the same place you get yours.. as long as it isnt tampered with it should be the saaaame one.

A week or so ago I asked a question about a burning plastic taste/smell. I went through the entire cleaning process of my eGo and finally determined it was the soft plastic cap of the eGo tank that was producing the problem. The hard plastic caps have never given me any problem. My resolution of the problem was based on elimination of all other possible causes and what finally made the problem go away. It had nothing to do with juices.

Since I don't really care for or use the soft caps for any particular reason, I stopped using them regularly and only fill one of them when I just happen to grab one out of my pile of empty tanks. I have them because I wanted to try them out once.

The Double RY4 I have has been in a plastic bottle for over two weeks. It tastes so good that I'm guessing plastic might not ruin it.:)

Are All Plastics the Same? Are some more Resistant to Chemicals?

If a person tells you that a Chemical Compound does (or Doesn’t) react with a “Plastic”, they really Aren’t telling you much if they don’t say what type of Plastic they are referring to.
