I actually love Tiramisu, it is an acquired taste, but basically is strong coffee. With the chemical reactions happening with the plastics, it is just chemistry. If you poured water in a cup made of pressed hardened sugar it would melt in a heartbeat, so just because it disintegrates does not mean it is like corrosive acid :) Some chemicals react to other chemicals. If you put a chicken bone in vinegar it will in time turn it to a rubbery substance, not bone. Just chemistry LOL bnrk

I think flavor providers should list the components of the flavoring, not just "natural flavors" or "artificial flavors." With that kind of information, people could at least do google searches on the ingredients and figure out for themselves whether or not they would want to vape that stuff. I think the natural, artificial flavors labeling can be very misleading.

Bnrk, yeah I hear you but vaping is in much higher concentrations. I mean this tank has been destroyed. Theres an identical crack on the other side and the plastic went from clear before filling, to clouded like that.

I mean am I way off base here for being this concerned? I left cigs behind after 25 years for what I want to be a safer alternative. I realize there are risks in everything but Im worried this is higher risk.

Ah, another WNYer! I had a couple of my mixes do that to my tanks, also. One I can remember is Vanilla Cupcake/Marachino Cherry mix I made. On first try I thought I felt a leak; as I was peering about the tank to see where it was coming from, it literally cracked apart in my hands, juice all over!

I love Cinnamon Red Hots, but that too is caustic - I only use that in a glass tank. As far as what these types of juices do to us, I don't have a clue. At this stage of the game, we are all still 'lab rats'...

I've only read the first and last page of this thread, so far, but I've used all of the questionable flavors in Pyrex and Poly propylene tanks with no problems. I get mine for a great price at Welcome to Valley View Vapes - Your Home for Quality Inexpensive Tanks and Vaping Supplies.

Go to Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association (The Tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association) web site... They have a wealth of information on the tests that have been performed on vapor and its effects... Is vapor 100% safe with -0- effect on the lungs? Probably not... Is it much, much better than inhaling smoke from a burning plant treated with buckets of chemicals? Uh, ... yup...

Some things are just chemically incompatible with each other; doesn't mean that they're incompatible with human tissue. It's a pretty well known fact around the forum that banana is one of those "use glass only" flavors. Cinnamon is probably my favorite DIY flavor, and I only place it in my Phiniac tank (regardless of the cinnamon concentration). I like lemon in my tea. Have you ever seen what happens to a styrofoam cup when lemon is introduced to one full of tea (or probably any other liquid)? It completely melts, and your tea is everywhere but in that cup. Don't be too concerned; some things just don't play well together.

Lemon cracks tanks. It doesn't do it every time but either it wears it down and the cracks it or you put it in a tank that has a slight imperfection and the acid in the lemon reacts the the pyrex. So either switch tanks or stop using lemon juice. Cause the acid that cracks the tank our own bodies produce. It is not harmful in the small amount your vaping
