If both flavors are recommended at 15%, then you will add 15% of flavor A and then 15% of flavor B, for a total flavoring of 30%.

sorry but its confusing. i thought if too much flavoring the taste is muted. dont get me wrong, im just having difficult on mixing. all of my diy is muted, cant find the sweet spot. so you mean to say if im mixing 4 flavors recommending 15%, so im in 60% flavorings.

Yes, that would be correct. However, those recommended percentages are really if you are doing a single flavor. You normally will have a primary flavor, with another 2 or 3 as background notes. Most mixes use 20 to 30 percent total flavor. So, you may have flavor A at 12, flavor B at 5 and flavor C at 3, for a total flavoring mix of 20%.

Not enough flavor or to much flavor can mute the end result. Go slow and don't be afraid to experiment.

I saw the pumpkin pie recipe above and wonder if anyone has successfully created a pumpkin cheesecake. :?:

Anyone?

:)

PB's Punkin Rolls (Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Orange Butter Cream Frosting)

9% Pumkin

9% Cinnamon Roll

9% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

3% Orange Cream

I found this one. Couldn't you exchange the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream for Cheesecake? Maybe even exchange the Orange Cream for Butterscotch or Caramel. What do I know? I'll try anything. heehee Now I'm hungry. Sorry this was a suggestion and you were wanting proven. But I am just trying to help.

You are so welcome. Let us know how it turns out. Definitely sounds like a fall treat.

I tried it.. and would say to drop the cinnamon roll down to between 6%.. but it might just be me..

Taste is subjective  but it is good!

perhaps using some horchata instead of the cinnamon roll.. might give it more creamy goodness.. it's similar.. but .........

and yes to some butterscotch.. or maple. hmm.. choices!

Sorry for noob question, how many ml's you're making with your % of flavors? I only see the percentage of flavorings but i dont see if how many ml's.

I just use the e-juice Me Up calculator and make whatever amount I want using a recipe or just the suggested percentages. I am still real new to DIY so I hope I understood the question right. Just trying to help.

As long as you have the "percentages". it doesnt matter how much you are making

Download the e-juice Me Up calculator andd after a few minutes of staring at it, you will understand ...

When you see a recipe that gives percentages for the quantity of a flavor, that means the amount you would use would be X% of the total amount you are making. For example if you saw that a particular recipe called for 10% of a flavor, then you would use 1ml when you make a 10ml batch, 3ml for a 30 ml batch and so forth.

The best thing to do is use a calculator such as e-Juice Me Up on a PC, or e-liquid Manager Pro for Android. When these programs are set up properly, all you'd do is enter the flavor and it's percentage and the program would do all the math for you. It will tell you exactly how much of each ingredient to use in ml or drops. Though the best way (IMHO) to consistently replicate, or scale up/down a recipe is to use the ml measurements instead of the drops measurement.

It has to be figured into the total amount of liquid for the percentages to work out. If you plan to use nicotine, it will be in some form of liquid either concentrated or premixed to just above the target level. Nicotine doesn't really have a flavor. It leaves the feeling of pepper in my mouth & throat. The higher the nicotine count, the more peppery feeling.
