I mixed a batch @ 5% Earl Grey and 1% Honey

I'm going to let it steep for quite awhile before testing. I was never a big fan of cream in my tea the English love it.

Me neither, but do like it in Earl Grey. I think the cream reacts with the Bergamot in Earl Grey to add a delicious flavor.

I'm that way to, tea and coffee is black but for me the juice had to have something to mellow it out to vape all day.:vapor:

Same company, two different product lines.

I've bought fragrance products from them for years ~ I like to dabble with homemade perfumes, lotions, candles, etc...
My daughter makes her own gourmet candies, which require a more concentrated flavor as opposed to 'grocery store' flavor extracts.
I never considered another use for the flavors until I started vaping last year.

When I order fragrance products only, the return address is listed as "The Perfumer's Apprentice" ~
When I order flavors only, the return address is "The Flavor's Apprentice" ~
When I buy fragrance products and flavor products in the same order, the return address is "The Apprentice" :p

They have a few flavor products that are suitable for fragrance use, but the opposite is definitely not true.

When I receive an order that contains fragrance and flavor in the same package, they wrap them in seperate plastic bundles and hand-write "Chemicals ~ poisonous ~ do not ingest" on the fragrance items.

Perhaps using the initials "TA" for "The Apprentice" instead of "TPA/TFA" would prevent some of the confusion? Just a thought. :)

Re: sweetener ~
I like a sweet vape and had a hard time getting it 'just right'. Either it wasn't sweet enough or was so sweet I almost choked. Just one drop too many of the sweetener can kick it over the edge!
I've started using "Cotton Candy" flavor to sweeten all of my juices. Not only does it add the sweetness I like, it seems to add a certain smoothnes / balance to the flavors I like to make.
It's PG based, so just reduce the amount of PG in your recipe and sub with cotton candy. I buy it in the "super-size" bottles. :)
I use more Cotton Candy flavor than I do PG base in my 'sweet / fruity' recipes.
It's a very subtle flavor and (imho) doesn't have a particular 'taste' ~ it can also add fullness and balance to sweet/creamy/chocolate/fruit flavors.
Another flavor that can sweeten and add body to a recipe is marshmallow. It can be over-powering if too much is added, but so worth it when you find the right balance. :)

simple one worth sharing.

50% strawberry
48% lemon
2% koolada
1 drop sour per 5 mls.
mixed this at 18mg 40/60 w/ 12% flavoring. can't put it down. might up the lemon next time, or try tfa's lemonade instead. have that sitting here and not sure what the difference is.

Please use standard conventions in the future. We should not have to break out the calculator to figure it out.

50% of 12% = 6% strawberry
48% of 12% = 5.76 % Lemon
2% of 12 % = .24%

Total flavoring = 12 %

Also, your drops are not my drops. Mine are 36 drops per ml.
See this for what I mean

Finally, if you like it, put a name on it!

i can try to put in recipes that way in the future. the reason for that format was that i usually premix flavors alone.
also, i should have said sour to taste. as someone who used to eat lemons like candy, i actually put in far more than that for myself. don't think most would like it, and it could crack plastic.
as for name? straw-lemon freeze????

Just to be safe, did you really mean 40PG/60VG ?

Cool and here is why:

Your post got me to thinking:

What were the %'s of your premixed flavors?

Perhaps the recipe I made is not actually the same as your mix. If your premixed 48% strawberry was mixed at 8% then that would throw off the entire recipe. Maybe we can't really convert your recipes??

this one was 40 pg, 60 vg. i really prefer higher vg most of the time. i realize that many people like higher flavor %'s, and that also depends on what their prefered mix is. i like this one on the light side flavor wise, some may double it. if i were going for a 20pg/80vg mix i'd probably go for the full 20% flavor, because that would be the only pg there to carry the flavor. if i were to mix it 80pg/20vg, i might go with as little as 8-10% flavoring. just personal preference.

please forgive typo's edited. yes i'm an idiot on occasion, like most.

Speaking of recipes anyone mix TFA Earl Grey with TFA Honey?

I'm thinking with complete lack of experience: 5% Earl Grey, 1% Honey

I started with the above and ended up with:

TFA Earl Grey 5%
TFA Honey 5%

It has steeped for a few days and is very pleasant I can taste the Earl Grey and the Honey.

i premixed the flavor at exactly the same percentages as my original post. then plugged that into a juice calculator at 12% pg in an 40/60 pg/vg mix. i'll see if i can figure out how to attach screen shots of the calculator i use. i'm a mac user, so unfortunately, i can't download the same one that most seem to prefer here.
as you can see, my attempt to just copy and paste just didn't work at all.

Please let us know what you find I went with 12% mango and 4% with some other lite flavor and can't taste the mango.

Okay I tried mixing with 15% mango only, 3 ml batch, steeped it one week, you can taste the mango but it's too light, not very flavorful, and I don't think you would want to use it as the top flavor note in any mix, IMHO. It simply does not have enough rich mango flavor. You can use it in small percentages with more complex fruit mixes, and that is about all. The only liquids I have tried with rich mango flavor as the top note and were successful were from Ahlusion, and they haven't released their flavorings to the public to order (although, according to an e-mail I sent regarding this, they will by end-of-year). They have a small number of flavorings on their website but they are always "out of stock, notify me". If they ever release their flavorings to the mass populace, I will certainly order... This isn't knocking TFA. They have a lot of good flavors. However, their mango isn't what I was hoping for.

Thank you, the Mango was the first flavor I used from TFA and I was wondering if there was something wrong with my taste buds.

Okay I tried Aqua Berry Blast and On the Rocks and they are both fantastic. I altered them slightly, however. I didn't have 'tart and sour' flavoring so I omitted that. Also, I love heavily mentholated liquids so I used 10% menthol. Finally, I used 1 DPML Ethyl Maltol in both liquids to help smooth the flavors. Thanks so much for these recipes! They are definitely winners!

Hi michaelsil1, this is what I have come up with so far, it's one of my all day vapes. Strong earl grey with a sweat after taste.

60% pg 40% vg
13% earl grey
8% honey
5% bavarian cream
4% sweat cream

I bet if you replaced the perspiration flavor with something sweeter, it'd taste even better!
