To keep this short I tend to change flavors in my delta 2 quite often and have a large assortment of flavors. That being said I never have enough replacement coils to keep switching them out fresh for flavor changing. I do wash my tank every time I change flavors but I don't wash the base and coil over fear of messing something up since I don't tend to let them dry before I decide to start vaping it again. I usually don't think about the transition flavor however I made the mistake today of switching from a caramel macchiato to a vanilla banana wafer pudding so as you can probably imagine the flavor is complete trash.. With all that cotton in the delta 2 coil, how long should I expect to have to vape like this? Ten toots in and I can still taste the macchiato like the cotton is reserving it just to teach me a lesson.

Actually that doesn't sound like that bad of a combination but sorry you were not pleased. I guess the best suggestion is to get more atty's to rotate if you are one that changes flavors real often. Another suggestions is to fill the tank with some unflavored and sort of vape the taste out. I did that with drippers and it seemed to work for me. Changing to like flavors is also a good choice. Just running hot water over your base with the coils will not damage the coils at all, I do not believe.

Good luck to you and I hope you find a solution of just vape til it gets acceptable.

I tend to be lazy like that too. I do wash the tank but for the coil I just dab it with tissue paper and blow down through the chimney, blocking the bottom so some of the juice in the wicking does come out of the feeding holes. Of course you can't vape very pronounced and different flavours in succession unless you're prepared for the surprise.... like I have different attys of strong coffee and menthol flavours. With the rest it doesn't really much matter.. I take it as part of the ride.

I have rinsed both my Protank 2 coils and my Aspire BVC coils with water and have not had an issue. The first few puffs after rinsing them out are very muted, no vapor, and taste very bland (the water). You will think the coil was ruined but keep puffing on it and the wicks will take in the juice and come through vaping normal with minimal taste of the previous flavor.

Don't know if this is an option with all coils, just my experience!

When I'm being lazy, I wash mine with water. As tBERGz said, you just get a muted flavor at first. I figure the stuff gets wet with juice, so a little water doesn't hurt. Something else you could do, if you don't want to buy spare heads and/or tanks is re-wick the coil in the heads (easy to do with Kanger--I don't know about Aspire). While you're at it, you could also dry burn the coil to clear off some of the crud.
