Travel battery case made from oak and curly cherry woods.

I was hanging out at my buddy's shop in his house. I was asking him for some ideas to carry batteries in. We came up with a wood box. He had some curly cherry he saved from going into his fireplace. The design we came up with needed a really hard wood. He had some oak wood flooring he ripped up from a part of his kitchen.

This is one oak piece with 2 square holes in it. The back panel and lid are curly cherry.

I will have more pics up, when I have it in my hands. My buddy has been working on the finish since the last time I was out at his shop.

I did 99% of the hand sanding. He did all the machine work showing me the machines and how to use them.
Now that he will let me use his shop, I can now make myself a wooden bottom feeder.

This was stained with golden oak and finished with many coats of tung oil.

I'm using a BB with a variable volt adapter, needing 3.7V CR2 batts.

I also use the BB for 6V with a 4.5Ω atty (usually in white)
