Traveling to South East Asia, kind of worried about bringing my mod... thoughts, ideas?

My set up for work is a 2000 mAh eGo PCC with three 450 mAh eGo batts. Perhaps something like that would work for you? It's only slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes and when everything is charged, its 3350 mAh.

These are the batteries I use, and the PCC is this one. I just use a couple of cartomizers or DCT tanks with them.

Didn't realize Ego has a vv now, and they have it in 650. I might get two of those. The Ego isn't very sturdy, I might pick up three in case one stops working. Thanks for the links.

They are illegal in Hong Kong and not allowed to be imported and sold in Singapore.

So stay away from Hong Kong and you should be OK.

Some of the first e cigs I ever see were sold all over Thailand!

Now I am worried! I am off to Singapore and Cambodia in March and after reading this thread did some more research and it seems i cant take a PV into Singapore

The Asian bans seem more likely to be on cig look a likes and are mixed in an act that does not allow anything that mimics smoking or resembles tobacco products, i fully understand this with candy cigs and novelty toy smokes but they have added e cigs in with them?

Singapore is one place to need to worry about. Others like Phillipines, Vietnam, Cambodia, i never being asked about my PV so far.. i will travel to Thailand on this Feb and will let u know whether it is OK to bring PV inside Thailand... They say that Thailand also quite strict..

One thing for sure is that it is OK to bring any PV to Indonesia.. : )

Yes I would worry ten fold in Singapore. Whilst a rich country, they're very serious about enforcing their laws. In Cambodia, the worst that can happen is you get hassled a little bit, and this wouldn't even be an issue if you're in a tourist area.

E-cigs are used in some of those countries - there is a mechanical mod that is quite popular in Asia right now. I just bought a mod from a vendor in Thailand. So there are definitely some vapers over there. I'd pack a cheap mod and an ego size and if asked I'd say its an electronic cigarette. And like anywhere I'd be discreet some places if I thought it the better way to go.

Sorry - I bought the mod from a vendor in Indonesia, not Thailand. I dunno why I typed that wrong before. I do know some vapers in Thailand.

Okay, update everyone. Thanks goes out to MMarie for advice on an Ego PCC and some Ego batts and for everyone else who gave their advice. I went with 2 Ego Twist 650 mAh as I've got a bunch of 510 Boge 3.0 cartos lying around and I'd really like to be able to dial in a higher voltage if possible. Also the PCC will work perfectly since there might be times where I will be out all day and unable to charge my batteries anywhere. This way I can have one Twist for vaping while the other one sits in the charger.

I'm off next Thursday! Wish me luck...

You'll be fine. There's a Thailand forum here on ECF if you want more info from people who live in the area. I've carried both an ego twist 1000mah and my provari (in my shirt pocket) through airports in all of the countries you plan to visit and vape openly. However, I don't vape in non-smoking areas which brings unwanted attention and confusion no matter where you are in the world. Enjoy your trip!

If you're gonna consider the Philippines then you're not gonna have a problem with bringing your e-cig. It's been a booming business here and you can see lots of people vaping in different places. Just don't bring an e-cig mod that looks like a pipe bomb and you'll be vaping happily in almost anywhere in South East Asia.
