I wondered if any of you could tell me if there is any problem, or what I should avoid that may cause a problem when I travel? I live in New Zealand.

I travel typically for 2-3 months a year. Are there any airport or customs issues? Also being able to carry enough equipment with me to last me for that length of time, e liquid etc.

I do travel to the USA and Asia areas mainly, but also South Africa and Singapore which is my main worry as they seem very strict on any tobacco products.

Any advice and suggestions on an set up that I could buy that would cause the least amount of problems?

Since I have been vaping I have traveled Canada to USA, and to Cuba with no problems at airports or Customs. I haven't even been asked a question. I'm not sure if it's "don't ask don't tell" or if they are so familiar with them. I put them in the tray with my keys and the liquid I am carrying in with my carry on liquid bag. I actually take it out of my pocket and put it in the bag while standing there. No problems.

There have been other threads on this. I asked the same question to other Canadians when I got to the ECF. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to bring it back to Canada! You may want to ask on different forums about specific countries and also check the government travel sites. I don't know of anyone who has had a problem with a personal amount at customs, but some countries are peculiar and it is best to know before hand.

Relax, Enjoy!

Different countries have different laws, but I travel quite a bit in the US and Uk and and have never had any issues. I have had TSA officers stop and ask me about vaping, but more in a curious way than anything negative. When I travel I carry smaller bottles of juice (usually 4-6 30ml-60ml bottles) so that they are under the 3 oz liquid limit. I put them in a plastic baggie (like shampoo or shaving cream) and put them in plain site in the bin when going through security. I also had one security guy ask if my Provari+DCT tank was an epi-pen, when I told him it was a PV he scanned it through and that was that...

Thank you for your quick replies.

So basically you don't hide them in your main luggage, you both carry them in your carry on luggage. When I am able to post in other sections of the forum I will ask Country specific questions. I am currently looking at upgrading my set up in the near future so was looking for any problems that could bring me. :) If you can walk through with a Provari then I can't see that anything should cause me a major problem.

Thanks again :)

I just keep it all in with the other small electronics, nobody cares. Once I left a battery attached to a charger in my purse by accident at security and they asked what it was, but not in a way that made me think I'd be detained or anything. I told them, they said "oh yeah I've heard of those, cool" and sent me along. I've been across US-UK a couple times round trip with no issues at all except that.

I've never traveled out of the country with my PV yet (will in July), but I haven't had any issues. One of the guards asked what it was and had to put on a brief clinic because he was trying to quit smoking. I thought I was going to lose my silver bullet!! Just be sure to keep your liquids separate and disassemble it in your carry on (was told by someone they thought it was a remote detonator lol )
