traveling with cathay pacific

Hello guys I'm brining my vape home and traveling with cathay pacific online. While checking in online I notice they have rules on electronic cigarette and I'm confused with it. Can someone translate this with me. I already put my mod, Atty, battery charger juice inside my luggage to check in, don't know if this is correct with their protocol.

Electronic cigarettes can only be carried in carry-on baggage
Electronic cigarettes,* also known as personal vapourisers or electronic nicotine delivery systems, can only be carried on one’s person or in passengers’ carry-on baggage.

Electronic cigarettes must not be used on board, and cannot be carried in checked baggage.

*Electronic cigarettes are battery-powered devices that simulate tobacco smoking by producing a heated vapour which resembles smoke. The devices have a heating element to vaporize a liquid solution.

Carry it with you in a backpack. Put the e-juice in a zip lock back (just in case it leaks) put the batteries in plastic case (if you're using 18650s or something of the sort). This will prevent items making contact with the battery and possibly venting. It says in the second part, "cannot be carried in checked baggage" and you said you put it in luggage for check in. Don't take it out when you're on the plane. I've flown once with my vape stuff in carry on with no problems.

before I checked in my ecig inside my luggage with no problems but I got bothered when I saw this.

they dont want any batteries in luggage in the cargo hold that can go wrong... if the battery is in a plastic case ( insulated, then that will be okay) but if the battery is in a mod that could short out or accidentally fire, then its a violation of their policy...
hopefully your mod/battery wont short out and cause a fire and make the plane crash while your on it ....

seems like a good incentive not to put mod/battery combo in the luggage, knowing that your own battery/mod could be the reason for your death due to a fire in the hold

Seems clear. On your person or carry on so it's within the pressurized, temperature controlled area of the plane.

Usage is prohibited.

Just like a smoker keeping the Bic lighter in their pocket.

I travel on cathay all the time. And i put my mods in checked baggage, all the time. Its the batteries they don't want checked in so make sure you take those out and carry them on. If your battery is integrated with your mod, carry on is best.

I'm confused because I travelled with them about 5 months ago and I put everything inside my "CHECK IN" luggage
