As long as the batts aren't in luggage, they should be fine. I think if you're not stealth vaping on the plane taking them out of the mods might be wise.

I was "caught" vaping (I wasn't being stealthy about it but this was a long time ago) and the stewardess asked me to put it away. I asked if I could see where the rule was written (not being bratty, just overall curious as I couldn't find any info about it) she showed me where it was in their "travel" magazine, which I have never once read, so put it away happily.

I guess this stewardess held a grudge as we were on the tarmac a while longer and she asked me to put away my phone, so I went about powering it off, and she like freaked out and I was just like, dude, I'm sorry, I was powering it off!

Anyway, I was met by air marshals as I left the plane. They said the stewardess said I was "muttering rude remarks" under my breath and had posted "negative" stuff about her on my (defunct) FB account. While feeling Ms. Stewardess thought I found her a bit more interesting than I DID, I did offer to show them my FB page and the LAST time I had logged in (probably over a year ago, then) but they just laughed and said they had to "file a report" with the local PD. Well, I had no idea what that meant, and was feeling a bit frantic about it, and actually went to get the report later (I have a clinical license) and queried them enough to realize it wasn't really an issue and would never come up. The report was High comedy and tragedy though.....

That kind of turned me off vaping on planes for life, though, (and elsewhere not permitted). I'm sure if I'd stealth vaped I'd probably have been fine, but seriously, the plane is corporately OWNED and quite honestly carriers and their staff can do whatever they want. Plus it was mortifying, and as usual when anything bad happened to me, well, I got accused of bringing it on myself.

I suppose I could have asked, then not vaped, so in a way it was... It was just right around that turning point when people were getting all creepy about vaping and I was like, "Surely if it's a problem someone will let me know how and why." Hmm... I suppose that did happen. But, yes, hanging out with the air marshals ain't no fun, nor the airport police. The skies are not as friendly as they used to be....

You can get charged for vaping on a plane these days I think. The choice is of course up to you but I bring nic lozenges when I fly now.... Drops of e-liquid would work as well... I just prefer nic lozenges as I'm used to them rather than trying to drop myself to the right amount of e-liquid.

I hope you have fun and safe travels.

I've let the rest of the Canadians know and we're happy to welcome you.

Keep in mind vaping here is pretty common. In my town of ~200,000 we have at least 12 vape shops.

If you need to pick up batteries, juice, coils, chargers, mods, etc. you'll be able to find them pretty quickly.

Best bring your own, but you definitely won't find yourself in a position where you're stranded.

good to know. used to have family there but was never in a position to go previously. they're no longer on this mortal coil so the visit is a wee tribute.

One thing to note - airlines are pretty serious about lithium battery transport. You must declare any and all lithium batteries being taken in checked baggage. Best bet, IMO, is to keep your batteries (at the very least) in your carry-on. Safer for all involved and less hassle for you.

Otherwise I've never heard of any issues coming in or out with vape gear by plane (some reports of nonsense at the border by car - related to juice only). Vaping has been heavily adopted in Canada, so you won't expect any confusion through customs and - depending on where you'll be - shouldn't feel like a total weirdo while vaping here.

As mentioned, you should generally have decent access to emergency supplies via shops in most urban or suburban areas, though at Canadian rates... :(

Anyway, enjoy yourself here and don't sweat the vape too much, just be cognizant of bottle sizes, etc. when dealing with the airport and customs.

They don't let us import ejuice with nic in it so you might have your juice taken away btw.

They also don't let us import cigarettes. That doesn't mean you're not allowed to bring them over.

It's the same principal. It's not against the law, it's about paying duty if you're over a certain amount.

Have fun and keep the ejuice bottle to 50ml max.

No issues with mods, tanks, juice with nic, etc. coming into Canada unless you are bringing a ton. A couple hundred ml and a few mods/tanks/coils are not going to be a problem.

Just keep your batteries in your carry on.

all,
will soon be having the pleasure of visiting canada. first time i've travelled since i stopped smoking (192 days!). it used to be easy...i'd rock up to the airport, buy a large pouch of tobacco, and of i'd go. now...not so simple. i guess it could be simple but i don't work like that. will just have a small carry-on backpack so space is limited...but hey, i don't really need cothes do i?
there are 4 items that i'm certain i'm taking (as well as 2 x 50ml bottles of my DIY blueberry jam).
JAC series-b DNA 75. small, light, flexible, solid.
two RDAs.
vandy vape bonza
and
digiflavor Drop
won't be squonking but just realy like RDAs. one will have a build around 0.16 and the other around 0.4...not sure which will be which yet.
i'll also be taking a
smok TFV12 prince (8ml glass fitted)
and a couple of coils.
now...the other mod...which to choose. i'm not lugging a charger for the 6 x 18650s i'll be taking so that rules out my mech mods :( as i'll have to use the mod to charge them (disclaimer: i would never do this normally. never.). i've narrowed it down to 3. would have liked to use my streampunk but no USB charging on that one.
smok alien 220W. my first powerful mod. does the job but if it got damaged i wouldn't be too upset.
smoant charon TC 218. pretty rugged. good TC. reliable.
smoant charon TS 218. performs great but the touchscreen...would be worried about it getting battered.
i'm just thinking out loud and perhaps have been a bit long winded. sure everyone is familiar with the hardware but put the links in for completeness.
i'm leaning towards the TC 218 as the second loyal companion on my big adventure...but the alien...

Hope you have a great time. Sounds like you’ve got your vape bases covered. Where are you flying from that takes 11 hours. Think I’d need some nic gum or something.

only carry-on...travelling light (and travelling cheap). don't want my cells getting all chilly in the hold. bottle size sorted. 2 x 50ml will last me way more than the week i'm staying...still on the lookout for toothpaste though
You are aware that 'Snuff' & 'Snus' are two different things?
yup. i am. no notion to try it though...i do remember you posting about it a few months back
Pretty sure he does.:) I used snuff quite a bit in junior high where it could be difficult to find a safe place to smoke in the winter.
rockin'!

they'll have to pluck it from my cold, nicotine deprived, hands

that's the way i'm looking at it.
At least in domestic flights, batteries MUST be in your carry on rather than checked baggage.
toasty and snug in the cabin with me
No squonk.

You're dead to me...
awwww... :(

i'll ditch the wellington boots filled with nic idea then...darn! :p

i'm a wolf...hirsute. though i may get taken for a sasquatch
Was wondering if he packed his long underwear but didn't want to "mom" him in front of his friends. :D
always looking out for me :)

the from here to there with one change of planes will take the 11 hours...i'm leaning towards the gum idea...
5°c here, I was sweating in a long sleeve shirt at work today!
0C here. i've resorted to wearing a hat...badly.
you folks never let me down. thank you all for input and info...you know it is appreciated. as always. it's now a part of my trip i don't need to worry about and that's a big thing.

well...as a smoant cylon has just been bought the series-b might have some competition...
Competition? Doubtful, different as night and day, just used for different needs and toppers. The Sandstorm has me wanting a Series B and I'd like to get the black 22mm for my uncle. Waiting for the new Squid DB before jumping.

i totally agree that they're poles apart but have been assessing my usage. was planning to take some higher resistance builds and have been testing some for the last 48hrs or so. keep going back to <0.18ohms. the series-B DNA 75 is a great, flexible, mod but chews through cells with my current preferred vape. that's no problem when i'm not 1000 miles from home...
if you're really in the market for one i'm sure we could come to some arrangement. PM if interested.
