I don't know if it's different elsewhere - but I travel a lot in Europe usually with Easyjet and I've always taken it on board ( empty of juice because with mine the changes in airpressure can cause leaks - as I found out the hard way. )

Outbound from the UK and Spain usually at security I put it in the tray with my phone and computer and I've never had a problem. I usually take 10 10 ml bottles of juice and put them in a clear plastic bag at check and again I've never had problems.

If in doubt check with your airline though...

I usually put chargers, tools, spare tanks/mods in my luggage.

But i always put all batteries and liquid in my carry on. Make sure there are no batteries in your luggage, only carry on.

I put tanks upside down during the flight due to pressure differences on longer flights, to prevent leaking. And yes, i did have to rinse and dry my pants in an airport restroom after my first flight ever with vapegear.

Hello, I have a Aspire Spryte and I will be travelling soon, so my question is: should my vape be in my carry on or my luggage?
Anything with a battery, or spare batteries: carry-on.

Liquids can go either way, but you must observe the maximums for all liquid (bottles no bigger than 100 ml, no more of them than will fit in a quart or liter-size clear plastic bag) if they're in your carry-on. If you need more liquids than that, put them in your checked luggage.

It is actually VERBOTEN by the airlines now to but anything with a battery in the cargo hold. Don't do it. Because otherwise, the airlines are not going to care if you have one in carry on. They will pay it no mind unless they catch you vaping it on board even in the little bathroom.

(edited - not appropriate)

So yea it's fine in carryon just don't you know do anything besides what you MUST do in the bathroom. Those bathrooms are horrible don't stealth vape in there.

I've travelled quite a few times with my vape gear on a plane with no issues. I put a new wick in my tank, bone dry with no liquid in it. I had 4 or 5 30ml bottles, 3 mechs and batteries all in cases. Extra cotton. RDAs bone dry. I had all my stuff in a small case which I put in my carry on, and right on top in case there was any questions. Nobody has ever asked me about them, or made any issue.

I should mention this was airplane travel only within the U.S. I can't comment on any international travel.

I agree, it's just better to hold off on the vaping while on a plane. They really frown upon such an activity

I can. I've been to Europe (Germany) three times since I've been vaping. Nobody so much as raised an eyebrow at any of my vape stuff. Vaping isn't hugely popular there, but it's perfectly legal.

Of course there are places where one might encounter difficulties; anywhere that vaping is outright banned; places like Singapore and Dubai.

I've been to the UK a couple of times and followed the same rules as for domestic US flights. No problems at all.

One thing I'm not sure about. Now they have rules for tank capacity I wonder if that would be enforced? As far as I know it isn't illegal to own a larger tank, just to buy or sell them, so travelling with them would be OK.

It's not illegal to own or even buy 2ml+ tanks in the EU, only selling them isn't allowed anymore in most countries.

I don't think the customs guys and certainly not the scanner dudes area all that savvy.

Honestly, they are busy staring at my underwear. I don't care for it frankly and I also kind of wonder what it would look like if I went underwear free and would it be considered "public nudity."

I also understand that terrorism sucks and all but it would be nice to not have to accept that I'm going to be subject to being gazed at in my birthday suit, pretty much. I mean.... I'm sure it gets to be like gynecology after a while they so don't CARE.

But I CARE. I also still do not enjoy the gynecologist very much at all. I don't believe that will ever change.

@Ken Kaneki - It might be helpful if you'd say where you're travelling from and to, at least the country or countries. You've gotten great info. about actually flying with your gear. However, there may be countries that aren't very vape friendly, so to speak. The Dominican Republic for example, is known for confiscating vape gear when you're going through security to leave the country with it. In a case like that, taking vape gear with you that you don't mind "giving up" is a good idea. People may know about other countries too, but don't know whether to mention them or not since they don't know your travel plans.

For any international travel, I think the safest bet is to just bring any vape pen and put it in the carry-on luggage, store your e-liquids in the checked luggage. These vape pens are discreet enough that nobody bats an eye on it. In the worst case it gets stolen, it won't be such a big loss since these pens are not that expensive.

Moving to live in another country or state is another story though :D
