Thank you Vlynn for posting this ! I had missed that tip and just tried it out..it works awesome on used cartos' that i have basically just thrown in a bag for later use..>its like making them new all over again.

You have saved approx 50 cartomizers that i just had laying around !

Go slooooow. Don't try to pull it out all at once; if you just chunk some off, grab it at another spot and if it chunks off there, what the heck. Rock lightly, fiddle with it, just take your time and it'll come without pulling off the tube or the wick.

Some have said that it's easier with a "wet" carto (wet with e-juice) and some have said it's easier with a slightly used carto.

i tried it this weekend you gotta keep it full or the sock will burn than it doesnt wick as well and tastes like a 510 addy that needs cleaning. but as long as you keep it full it works great kinda like dripping on a 510 lotts of vapor

It's definately easier with one that is wet...i ruined two experimenting...havent tackled the 510's yet...but it seems like some of the KR808's are easier to remove than others.

I figure if you have at least 50 percent success its a win.

Could you wet it with water maybe instead of juice? Then let it dry obviously.

Yes....i think so....or what i did was use a cartomizer that had almost died on me today...i had alot of sucess with that one...one that was dry i mutilated..and it didnt work.lol.

Just take some really good tweezers and pick at that surrounding stuffing and pull it and rock it back n forth.

Some are easier than others i think. One i had from v4l wouldnt work at all, i pulled all the guts out...

Well, I'll take one for the team and use water. If I ruin another, it's not much of a loss because I don't like them when they get old and matted down anyway.

If you have plain vg or pg , drop a few drops of that on it...instead of juice if the carto is completely dry...but i think water would work ok...

I've been using this almost dead cartomizer since around 5pm today and it's like it is new..after taking that stuffing out. I put about 7 drops into it and every little while i add 4 or 5 more drops...i think the trick is to keep it wet too.

Wow! Seems like putting all that juice in would flood the atty. Glad to hear that's not the case. What happens if you lay your pv down?

Well, if you just filled it with the initial drops id say it would run out..but i just laid mine on its side and nothing came out....it doesnt leak at all sitting up either.

I tried it on one carto.. got it to work and could see the elusive sock.. Now I know what a sock is.. LOL... Vapes on my SB at 6v but im using cappuccino and they never taste like i expect them too.

i found if you kinda rotate the batting around the addy it comes out easy and water works too to wet it and you dont have to dry it as the only thing left is the sock and once you fill it with about 10 drops its ready to vape

Yep I ruined two also...poor things....at least they were already almost gone...getting the filling wet definetly makes it easier!

Thanks for the tip about getting them wet. I popped it in a cup of water to get it soaked. The fiber pulled out in one piece with tweezers in 3 seconds. Tried it with a V4L one next and it popped right out too.

Both were scorched through! No wonder I had them in my "no" pile.

For DIYers, this is great for testing flavors. You don't have to fill up a carto and no cleaning an atty out after the test.

I'm going to try restuffing the carto and see what happens. Don't think it's possible to get the stuffing wrapped around the sock like the original but it's worth a test.

Now I need some 801 soft tips to try out. Dang it, it's always something with this hobby.
