I've been using a Trident clone I bought from a local B&M for a couple of weeks and had an accidental overheat today (mech wasn't all the way locked out when it went into my pocket) and I'm not sure whether I should continue to use the mod or not. It appears that when it overheated, some of the delrin insulator may have melted. I've since removed the cotton that appeared to be infused with plastic and replaced it with fresh cotton, but I wonder whether the atty is safe to continue to use? The coils are firing as expected, so there doesn't appear to be a short.
