I am a all or nothing smoker. I won't go near a cigarette if I can help it. I'm around plenty of smokers and I find the smell very distasteful. I've quit before and tasted cigarettes and found them awful, but I'd keep smoking it until it killed my taste buds. One cigarette would lead into another until I've gone out and bought a carton.

I've not really craved a cigarette since I quit in Dec. Old habits in my brain play games with me so I pull out my PV and vape awhile. Pretty soon, I've forgotten those habits and now busy rewiring my brain for vaping. Most of my quit requires unlearning the old habits and starting new. vaping is my answer to quitting cigarettes and I thank my lucky stars for finding it.

I'd smoked for many years and then quit. Nevertheless, I remained envious of smokers, enjoyed being around cigarettes, and loved the smell. Just a week after taking up vaping, I went out with a friend who took a smoke break (I was vaping on a KR808D), and his smoking was repulsive to me. First time I ever saw smoking the way that non-smokers see it. Crazy. Just crazy.

Once I switched to vaping I never tried another analog... I been tempted to just to see how awful it would really be, but I only think that I'd have the same reaction as you since even the smell of one from a passing car is just wretched now. Good for you and your returning sense of smell and taste!
I have done that myself, and if past efforts to quit smoking are any indicator, it often got me thinking again ... so this time I'll pass on that from this point on.

Hi guys, many of your stories mirror my own as I've happily tried an analog on a couple of occasions and marvelled at how I cannot now stand them. It's amazing to think I smoked for 20 years and now thanks to vaping have quit in such a joyful manner. In fact, I don't even think of it as quitting as I feel as though I've been upgraded to First Class. Just hope our respective governments don't meddle too much although the cynic inside suspects they will.

Happy Vaping Everyone

I tried to stop 3 times with e-cigs, first 2 was 1 and 2 1/2 years ago, each time I would take a month or so and lean myself off analogs down to 4 or 5 per day... so cost was much lower than all the ecig stuff from back then (also I found I hate cartos and atomizers).

This time (about 2 and half months ago), I decided to give the patch another try...which also leaned me off cigs (but driving me INSANE with cravings), even though I would have just 1 or 2 analogs at night between patches (lol). I got my old riva 510 out, got some vivi novas 3.5ml and got a small order of juice. I ran out after a few days and forgot to order more so I tried my left over analogs and hated the taste but needed nicotine so I went patch +2 cigs at night till my new order of juice came in.

2 and half months later, 2 vv batteries, 2 nova tanks, 2 CE clearos and the new eVod and small 400mah vv twist coming soon, I think this will work (I also found 2 allday juice I like which was VERY hard to find the first 2 times).

I don't plan on tasting an analog again but would encourage those who fill confident enough to borrow one from someone, this way when you have cravings you will remember how nasty it tastes and even though you might be having a craving, YOU will not want one (at this point am vaping like crazy so no cravings anymore).

So far, I have been afraid to do that myself. Not sure if I will love it again or hate it like you mention. And I worry I might be hard on myself for breaking my 10 month streak. Sounds silly, I know.

No it doesn't sound silly. I feel the same way. I'd like to try one and hope that it is awful...but what if I like it.
This scares me so I am not even trying one.
75 days free of cigs.

Today I used my Kanger t3 for the first time at work. Normally I just use cartos...well some lady looked at me and said "That is what you been smoking! How do you know whats in it? I wouldn't ever use something like that!"

Well first I informed her that I wasn't smoking and second I asked her to name the 2000 chemicals that she has been sucking down! Needless to say it shut her up.

I haven't made the complete jump off yet b/c I was turned on to vaping by accident after buying a .... ton of analogs online. I've only been smoking when I get into the car & am actually not enjoying it as much as I enjoy vaping. Had one analog today in the car didn't enjoy it, threw it out & started vaping. I now have a closet full of analogs I don't want & couldve used the money towards vaping. Kinda sucks

I remember when I used to watch movies with Al Pacino or Leonardo DiCaprio or someone awesomely chill charging down cigarettes on-screen i'd always think to myself; "damn they make them look so tasty", stop the movie and go and smoke one myself (yes I know thats so lame that a movie could influence my perceptions like that, but they did look cool). Now I just think "damn thats rank"...and puff away on my PV whilst still watching the movie. Badass, analog addiction OVER.
