I vaped a Mountain Dew flavor that I was a NOT fan of and then cleaned out my stardust per several distributors youtube videos. I filled it back up with RY4 and could only mostly taste the Mountain Dew. So, rather than waste the juice, I vaped it until gone. I cleaned it out thoroughly again and STILL all I can taste is friggin' Mountain Dew!

Any tips?

edit: NOT a fan of the Mountain Dew

Or you could just use that clearo with Mountain Dew only until it's done. No need to toss it prematurely if you can get out whatever other flavor was in there and you like the original flavor.

Oops. I misread that as you saying you were a fan. Oh well. I'd try the vodka like renoman said. If that doesn't get it completely out, maybe try a fruity flavor in there that won't clash like a tobacco does.

I don't have any idea if this is good advise or not, but it worked for me. I was trying to get menthol out of a Stardust, and a smoktech tank. I don't use menthol, and the person I was setting it up for...didn't like it. Anyway, I soaked them in baking soda and water, and rinsed after a few hours. It worked on the plastic bottles too.

My cleaning method for the StarDust type clearos (VNs should be easier):

Remove mouth piece/drip tip.
Remove silicone cap and tube with tweezers/needle nose pliers. You will now be able to see your coil.
Flush and rinse with water until the clearo has no remaining joose.
Shake out water and dry the exterior, including the connection end.
Pulse dry burn until you see (1) individual red coil wraps with (2) no 'smoke' or (3) sizzling.
Let clearo cool.
Replace cap/tube.
Fill with joose.
Replace MP/DT.
Let sit for a few minutes to soak the wick.
Vape your face off!

Be cautious when dry burning. You can burn out the coil if you leave the power on too long. Remember to pulse on, then off for 3-4 seconds each.

Hope this helps ya'll.

Rebuild that sucker. Go to youtube for a ton of tutorials. I just rebuilt one this morning using 33Guage kanthal a1 bought on ebay cheap, and some cheesecloth 100% non-bleached cotton bought at wal-mart. You don't have to throw those things away, you can re-use over and over till they fall apart. It only takes about five min once you get used to re-building, and the cost is probably less than a penny.

This is a good method for the Stardust. to add to it once you pull the silicone off and can see the coil, GENTLY pull the wick left and right to be sure to get the part of the wick that is under the coil cleaned.

Really the only way to get it clean is to crack open a new coil head. Personally I have been vaping on the same 3.2ohm coil head for 3 months, so you can get longevity out of them. At 2-4$ a piece there is no real excuse to waste time cleaning them but to each there own.:)

Ill clean them and they last about a month or so. I wont take them apart and replace coil and wicks with ebay wire and wallmart gauze.
Call me money bags I guess.
four bucks, I deserve it.
If they totally outlaw everything, Ill consider it. Until then, those chinamen build fastah and chepah

Don't be afraid to try rebuilding, it may come with some risk, but there are many members in the forum that are willing to help you learn the proper methods. The multimeeters and other tools/equipment to rebuild does carry a steep initial buy in. I started with stardust clearos, been vaping them for about a month, already made the switch to rebuildables.

I am cheep and hate to let extra parts go to waste (see warning about blowing coils, bats, and other various mishaps) and have a really bad expresso flavor in one of my extra clearos. It sucks but ill try the vodka method.

I have the v3 changeable coil clearos and can order more heads, you may be able to do the same.

If you do decide you want to rebuild, you should consider getting something meant to be rebuilt, they can be had for around the same price of a full replacement, and they are pretty easy to work with.
