Been thinking of giving this a try for a couple of reasons. 1 to cut back smoking & also for some new flavors & not to smell like smoke, that crap stinks lol. So I bought a el-cheapo disposable E-cig Monday. It was 21st centurary brand & menthol. First impressions are it was just ok. I did only smoke 2 cigarettes all day so I guess thats a good thing. Im thinking ifI get a good E-cig I'll really enjoy it.

So without reading tons of more pages & getting myself more confused whats a good overall brand that I can get started with for lets say under 75.00? Id like quality & dependability. Im thinking maybe a 2-piece unit but Im open to other Ideas as well. I've read a little on the G6 & a EGo, also I think there was another called the volcano. I work about 13 - 14 hours a day so that may play a factor. Also I'd like to get my cig & juice from 1 place so whoever has a great following for juice may need to be a factor also.

Thanks
Jason

...the quick and dirty...goto Liberty Flights ...click the 20%discount button on the top left of page...scroll down to starter kits>>>Riva501>>>Riva501 Lite bundle...30bux for your basic setup...you can also shop juices there...good enough to start...ALSO, toss the carts that come with the kit and goto Crystal Clear Vaping and pickup a bundle of Resurrectors and you will be vaping...HAPPILY with a nice setup for under 70 bux...

p.s. after you get your setup and start vaping, you can explore the wonderful world of vaping and go for gourmet juices and fancier equipment,...if ya wanna...........mj

In general, multibrand good price hardware vendors with real Joye Ego are not the same places as good juice vendors. You can find some juice vendors with real Ego (like FreedomSmokeUSA.com) but then you will be be paying a bit extra for hardware I think. if you buy hardware someplace like Liberty-Flights.com (press the 20% off first, upper left front page) then you can get a a good prices on real joye Ego products but not the best juices.

If you have to pocket the Ego, the Joye Ego-T batteries have a 5-click disable/enable. Many don't care for the tank attys and tanks though and they might not be great for pocketing (can leak). I would recommend cartomizers like Boge. And use a standard 510 atomizer and drip tip to test juice, you can try the tanks at home.

So this is what I may be thinking just a copy & paste from LF site. Other than juice what else will I need?

Riva 510 - Carto Deluxe (DUAL COIL)
In its own handy carrying case that can take two full eGo's or Riva's, this kit is suitable for those who want to take a different route in to vaping, the cartomizer route. With 5 refillable Smok Tech 1.5 Ohm DUAL COIL cartomizers and two special, wide diameter cones, this kit is ideal for those who are unsure if atomizers and cartridges are right for them. Couple those with the carrying case, we think this is one of our best deals, the case alone is worth $14.99.

•2 x 650mAh Battery
•5 x Smok Tech 1.5 Ohm DUAL COIL Cartos - These will require e-liquid as they are blank cartos
•1 x Carrying Case - worth $14.99
•1 x USB Fast Charger
•2 x Carto Deluxe Cone - Wider diameter hole especially for cartos
Please note : This kit DOES NOT come with a US usb mains plug.

a couple of final(for now) thoughts...there is world of stuff you can use out there...what I recommended to you will get you started in the world of vaping with a very well thought of unit with a minimal amount of fuss...the batts on the Rivas, will give ya 6-7hrs of pretty much non stop vaping...if, you can only vape at work, on occasion, one batt will last the shift...if you can vape at will(and do), you probably will havvta change batts during the shift...the Resurrectors I recommended will hold 2ml of juice(60 drops)...I like to refresh my cartos when they hit the 50-75% level for best taste and longevity of the carto...NEVER let them run dry, they scorch/ruin the filler and havvta be tossed...depending on how much you can vape at work, 2 or 3 should last ya the whole shift...the juice from Liberty Flights is mid range stuff...not the best, not the worst and it will getcha started...taste is subjective and there are eleventy zillion vendors selling eleventy zillion flavors...if you ask which is best, you will get eleventy zillion opinions...getcha something from LF to start with and them look around for what else is available(goes for hardware as well)...because taste is so subjective, when you start looking, order sample sizes of several flavors from several vendors until you find whatcha want...good luck and HAPPY VAPING!!!!!!!!!!!

...a good choice...you will need to add a 120vac to USB adapter to charge your batts or else you can only charge them by plugging them into your computer USB port...cartos are considered disposable...they can be refilled several times and they can be cleaned and reused BUT you need extras and the Resurrectors bundle(15 of 'em) I linked to above are a really good deal...they may hold more liquid than the ones in the kit(maybe, I dunno for sure)...I like the Riva lite bundle since it comes with the 120vac adapter and slighter larger batts(750mah Vs 650mah...MAYBE an hour diff in vape time) but the one you linked does come with a nice carry case and 5 cartos...the attys that come with both kits are nice for dripping(another form of vaping) but the carts are only a PITA.........

I'd go with madjack's advice... Riva lite bundle from LF + the 15 pack of Resurrectors from CCV. I've tried a fair amount of different things since I started vaping, and that's pretty much what I've settled on (and am very satisfied with). The tough part will be finding your favorite juices... I'm still working on that part.

I have used several e-cigs, and none has made me happier than the go-go. Check out Go-gousa.com, He's a great guy to deal with. The kits are under $50 for most colors, a battery will last you longer than your work day, and the carts are just about bulletproof as far as reliability goes.

Appearance wise it looks very similar to the Riva. I read the portion on filling the carto & it sounds like a PITA, are they all this bad or does it just read way worse than it is? Im def wanting some on the hassle free side as much as possible. I'd almost prefer something that looks more in design of a traditional cig, but from what I have read most folks start that route then buy a ego or something similiar, so Im all about skipping the wasting portion with buying mistakes. lol

...from what I have read you say, I don't believe you will be happy with a cig sized unit...they just don't have the performance you seek...there is a learning curve to vaping and they will never approach the convenience of a funkarette...they wont kill ya or make ya stink either, what's that worth to ya...filling cartos is not a big deal...I use a syringe(included in the Crystal Clear Vaping bundles)...fill syringe to amount the carto holds...insert down the side and fill from the bottom up...topping off cartos...lean to side and drip 3-6 drops at a time, rotate and repeat until the top of carto has a "slushy" look to it...give a little blow to the end of the carto to clear excess juice, wipe threads with a tissue(or your jeans) and you are good to go...if you goto youtube you will find dozens of videos on filling cartos, cleaning cartos and just about anything you could wanna know...............

Madjack,

Thanks for all the quick replies bro. Between the ego & the Riva is there a differance in quality between the 2? I saw the Ego has color options but thats about itm although I hear its name all over the net. Im gonna place a order for something today for sure & more than likely gonna go with LF since Ive been driving myself nutty looking at there website since you suggested it.

eGo was the original design...all others are clones...I think the Riva is a superior one...the Riva batts have slightly more power...maybe an hours worth AND, eGos are slightly lower voltage...3.2/3.4, the Rivas from LF are 3.7...doesn't sound like much but, it does make a difference...I have also heard, eGos don't play as nice with LR cartos as the Rivas do(just hearsay to me, no actual experience)...I hear you on all the info out there being confusing, we all faced this when we start and that is why I gave you the "quick and dirty" when this thread first started...to give you the benefit of my vast experience:rolleyes:
madjack:2cool:
p.s. don't forget to click that 20% discount button on the top left of the LF page for their best price..........mj
