I see a lot of threads here on ECF along the lines of, "Check out how much stuff I have!" but not many about how much people have pared down their collections. I'm interested to know how many of my fellow vapers have gotten to the point where I am right now--I can't be the only one.

Started vaping 4 months ago and it developed into a hobby pretty quickly; I fell into the buy-everything-in-sight-and-see-what-I-like phenomenon that seems to affect so many of us, and wound up with a pretty good sized collection of stuff. I did figure out what I like in terms of hardware so I did accomplish something with the frenzied purchasing that dominated my first couple months vaping. But now, most of it's just sitting there gathering dust. I use three of my five mods regularly (having already sold one to a friend a few weeks back), my eGos have been retired, and I continue to use only five of the fourteen atties I've accumulated.

I looked at it all today and it hit me: "Holy [four letters]..."

I'm now down to this. Everything else is boxed up and waiting to be PIF'd or put up in the classies :) Two spots reserved for my ELA and a JM22. And maybe another 14500 mod :D

Personally, I've given away more mods than I have kept. I currently have 3 1/2 My vmod, the first two I ever built and a prototype I'm still working the bugs out of. Unless you're a modder I wouldn't take your collection below three with plenty of attys, batts chargers etc. There's nothing worse than having your main mod and backup die simultaneously.

Yup. I did it. I used to have tube mods and box mods galore. I kept at least a dozen ego and ego-clones around. I had the origional map tanks, the dct tanks, and a few other tanks. I had ego batts, 510 batts, and even a few kr808d1 for a short while before I decided to pare down.

I don't believe I ever had more than 50 or 60 units in my possession at any given time, but I have owned or at least borrowed and used well over a hundred different PVs.

At some point, I just settled in to feeders. I sold off or traded away almost all the rest of it.

All that's left (and I'll probably just keep what I have now) is a REO mini, a REO VV Woodville, a VVPV (though it developed problems so it doesn't get much use) -- My Triple-V (5v version), a couple of rough stacks, and a plastic VV Box.

The rough stacks and the plastic vv box are packed away. I'm keeping them but only in case of some unforeseen catastrophe. The Triple-V has a 3.0 ohm atty on it and I drip a little with it just before bed. The VV Woodville is my primary day in day out PV, but I occasionally carry my REO mini instead if I'm fishing or otherwise plan to be around water. The VVPV never leaves my desk because it is unreliable. It will probably find its way to the garbage can eventually.

So, I went from keeping 50+ devices out at any given time to keeping 4 out to use and three stashed away....

I will say that when my VVPV finally frustrates me to the point I throw it away, I will replace it with a REO Grand and then the REO Mini will get packed away and one of the rough stacks will be given away.

I've had to resist the urge to buy everything I wanted due to price. When I look for a new mod a look to see if it fills a void that I have. Basically I have a vamo v3 for my vv/vw mod and two mechs. One for stealth vaping and out on the go that uses 18350's with small clearo/carto tank systems. Then i have my mech with my sub ohm atty on it for a lil bit of cloud chasing and impressing those who know nothing of vaping. Basically a rugged good performance mod that I'm not afraid to take out and something a bit nicer for around the house.

I fall into the I like to collect stuff category. Even if I know I'm not necessarily going to use it all the time I hate letting it go, unless I know for a fact that I can't stand the darn thing any which way I try and use it. My bolt for example... Needs to be given to a good home once I fix the button. I really don't like it and thought I would. I have given away and sold close to 20 mods and have almost 20 sitting here... So I haven't really pared down my collection as of yet. :)

WOW... I feel so deprived. I just started vaping mid june and I ONLY have a L-Tube vv, 3 Protanks,1 evod and 1 ego twist. The ego twist and evod were the original purchases and now are the back ups. I guess I am lucky in that there are 4 local B&M shops. The worse is equipment failure and I have to wait until the next day to replace it.

P.S. Feel free to send me all you unwanted and unloved surplus equipment. I will give it a good home

Maybe I'll laugh at myself for saying this at some point, but hardware-wise, I think I'm OK.
I have 4 protanks ( a 1 and three 2's) about a dozen evods, 2 ego twists and a Vision spinner.
I have 4 drip tips and a bunch of 510 attys.

I DO want a ProVari mini but I'm considering controling myself and asking for it for Christmas from the husband.

I think aside from the disposable stuff (like coils), I'm OK with the above.

Now juice... juice is a different story
