Okay, just like the title states.

Got two Aspire Triton 2 in vapemail from Vapes NW today and the mods refuse to recognize them. When I press to vape, the display says "no atomizer".

Tried both on two different Provari 2.5, an eleaf 50watt and a eleaf 60 W.

When I tried to fire the first one up, I forgot it came with a sub ohm coil and shorted the battery on one of the ProVaris. Switched to the 1.8 coil and it fired on one of the isticks. I let the juice soak in, and that is when the "no atomizer" message first appeared. The same message appeared on the other three mods.

I figured I might have goobered it somehow with the sub ohm coil misfire, so tried to fire up the second Triton 2. "No atomizer" message on all the mods. They are working just fine with my Kabuki, and Kanger aerotanks.

I tried firing them at higher/lower wattage, etc. Nothing is working. I noticed the thread stem is shorter than the Kabuki, but the same length (as far as I can tell) and the Kangers.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, I managed to get one up and going. The second one won't come to life no matter what I've done. The pin is obviously bad. I put a sub ohm coil back in and fired it up on the istick, no problem at all.

Bummer. I don't have spare coils yet - they are in a different order that won't be here for a few more days.

Drag.

But on the other hand, loving the one I do have.

Getting that one .05 going on the istick reaffirmed my dislike of of sub ohm vaping though.

Thanks for the answer :)

Probably, just like your issue sorting firing problems, you don't like sub ohming because you don't understand how to set up Sub-ohm to your liking.

It does not have to be about massive clouds or extreme wattage. A .8ohm build can taste/Vape just like a 1.2ohm build :)
I typically build between .5 - .8ohm on RDA's and Tanks designed to handle those builds. I build Kayfun Tanks from 1.2-1.8ohm.

It is much more about understanding what one is doing than what resistance one should or should not be using.;)

Maybe, maybe not.

My first experience with it was with a Lemo 2, using its prebuilt .08, I think that's what it came with. Anyway, just didn't like the heat, and played with it for over a day before taking the leap and building my first coil and now I really like my lemo.

Also took a few puffs off a friend's DNA with a .02 build: it's just not for me :)

I will say, my REO clone has a 1 ohm build and the vape is exquisite.

I'm really enjoying the Triton I got up and going with a 1.8 coil. I'm just waiting to see if I still love it in a month, lol.

Heat is a product of Power applied, not Resistance of coil. Many TC owners have complained of Cold/cool vapes............simply because they did not understand how to set the Mod properly. (This with .05ohm builds)
I vape a Butterscotch blend on a .6ohm coil at 20w with next to no heat. Butterscotch can get nasty if heated to much.

If comes down to build and in time yours will develop. :)

* I had a Few 2.8ohm coils Sear e-liquids when I first started vaping:blink: Then I started learning.:thumb:

I was using neat juice at the time - my tastebuds were reawakening after not tasting anything for what it is since I was a kid.

Why do you want me to sub ohm so badly? I'm not against it, it just seems like a waste to chase it when what I'm doing already makes me happy.

I'm ecstatic with toodling, finally managed to put down analogs with zero cheating and will use less juice and save money over the years.

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

I don't think @crxess is trying to push you to sub-ohm. Rather, it's just that there are options that fall in that <1Ω range that can be rewarding if you try them. I've had some rockin' vapes with 0.8Ω coils, and rockin' vapes with 1.4Ω coils. Choices: we gots 'em! :)

Honestly, I don't. It is all choice, preference, change as life goes on. Just hate to see anyone close and lock a door without really understanding what may be beyond. :)
Much of my Vape experience has been in the 1.0-3.0ohm Range, as well as discovering some of the best, most flavorful of vapes in a simple <slightly> sub-ohm Magma RDA.
Do I use it always? Nope, but it is on my regular rotation.

You like Tootling? I Tootle on a 1.7ohm Cartomizer atop an 650 Twist at 4v. :D
