I've had plenty of mishaps with my Tritons, and never had any failures, but tonight takes the cake.

I had my Triton sitting on the bar at my local watering hole as I usually do, and in an animated conversation, my girlfriend knocked it into a sink full of hot soapy water on the opposite side of the bar. It took almost a minute for the bartender to retrieve it and give it back to me. I had given it up for dead a minute ago, but I dried it off, took the tank off and blotted out the terminals, put it back together, and started vaping again at the bar, business as usual. It seems to be working normally.

Good work Halo!!!

Rebel I'm so glad your battery is still working after the swim. I would however when you get home let it sit in a bag of rice to make sure you draw out all the moisture and watch it good when you charge it for the first time. Poor Diva lost her Triton VV battery she named Manuel to a bubble bath. Dave performed an autopsy for her. It was for science. He has pictures posted somewhere around here. :)

Just this past weekend I had a mishap that scared me, but the Triton pulled through. I had my 1300 battery and tank on me. I was getting out of the car with several grocery bags. So I put the Triton in my back pocket. Not my normal carry method, but my hands were full. I'd just take it out when I got inside, right? Wrong! After putting away the groceries, I forgot about the Triton until I sat down, hard. I got up, pulled out the Triton, and the battery was "bent". The blue part (mine is midnight blue) had pulled away from the shiny part at an angle. I almost started to cry. I pressed it against my desk to straighten it back out and put everything back in place and it still works like a champ.

Thank God it's okay, I sure wouldn't want to see you cry but I'd understand, after all it is the royalty of the Triton battery line the amazing Triton variable voltage in midnight blue no less. ;) I have 2 princess pink VV and a midnight blue VV and it is my favorite because it's special to me. ;)

Teach and Solid Snake, very nice. And a bit lucky.

I had my VV in my front pocket, it's longer than a 1300. And bent it in half. The circuit board separated from the top, but the center wire was still connected to the center post. With the wife's help, I was able to solder the ground conductor back from the board to the side of the top. (Soldering often requires at least 3 hands :) )

Jamed the top back on, and it continues. Since November, so my 2 VVs are 8 months of heavy use! And the finish still looks good. A few little chips. I have a horny VV (non-Halo) and the finish seems thinner, as it has way more chips, yet is only 3 months.

Go Halo Tough!

Got another one.
We were on a cruise. We decided to go in the hot tub. Unfortunately I still had my Triton in my bathing suit pocket. The Triton took a 20 minute bath in highly chlorinated, 104 degree water.

Initially the battery did not work even after charging. After a couple days, I pressed the button 5 times and it came to life! By the way, the tank seemed to be thoroughly cleaned and vaped great after refilling. However, I do not recommend this.
