is the juice on the thicker side? or is it fairly thin?

You have to remember that getting a tank to work correctly isnt just about making the hole the correct size.
Personally I dont think the size of the hole is even the most important part. You have to remember to periodically take dry pulls, which will feed more juice to the carto. This is especially important when using thicker juices, but should also be done with thinner juices. Take 3-5 short hard dry pulls and that will feed more juice in to help keep the carto wet. If your hole/holes are the right size, you should see air bubbles come out of the punched hole when you take dry pulls. Try doing that and that should help keep the carto wet and avoid getting a burnt taste

so these dry pulls, i dont fire it up when i do that do i?

also is it vg or pg i get to thin it out?

Nope, you don't need an lr if you're vaping VV. I heard that Boge was coming out with an XXL single coil carto that will fit these tanks, not sure when. IMHO, for a flawless vape, I cut down all of my tanks with a tube cutter and use Boge sr cartos. That has been my answer to get the most carefree vape possible. Just my .02.

Cutting down the tube, Lesson 1 according to my4jewels :)

If you're not sure how to cut down a tube, here are some instructions. I use a wood dowel inside the tube that is closest to the id of the tube. I use a wood dowel because it will not dull the blade when it's all of the way through the tube and hits the dowel. Use a tube cutter, inexpensive at any hardware store. Carefully turn the tube and dowel while increasing the pressure of cutting blade by turning the end of the cutter. Repeat until it is cut through. Just go slowly, turning the tube around and around. Watch carefully to be sure you are getting a straight cut as you turn it. Before you know it, you'll see the blade start to separate the tube. Just keep going until it's cut through all of the way around. :)

I use this type of pipe cutter, though not necessarily from this vendor. Mine is a pipe cutter almost identical to the one in the pic that my dad has had for years.

Priming your Boge carto, Lesson 2 according to my4jewels :)

One or two small holes on a Boge sr carto. I use a rubber end cap from the carto and fill with about 15 drops. Put the carto in, batt side down, and let it soak up the juice. Blow out the carto from the open side to make sure no juice is in the air tube. Put on a drip tip, put the carto in the tank and take a few draws on it without power, just until you're getting some flavor. Power up your lavatube, and it should be perfect vaping!

but the ressurector is an LR, i have a lavatube so no need for LR

Well I just cheat and buy tanks the proper size for single coil cartos. There are plenty of them on the market to choose from, but I like the J-TANK .
The build quality is far better than those mass produced tanks coming out of China.
However you can simply put a 10mm shorty extension on a Boge carto and it will fit in a DCT.

Here is a good video on how to fill a new carto in a tank. Juice is forced into the carto when you put the top cap back in.

VG is very thick -- you'll want to thin a juice using PG, distilled water, or vodka/grain alcohol. (If you use h20 or alcohol, only use a few drops.)

I went through three cartos in my Smoktech tank when I first started with it, and it was discouraging. But once I got it working it's been hassle-free for weeks. It's worth it.

You will find that most of us have our own favorite products and techniques. It's all good. The most important thing is that you find what works best for you. There seems to be more than 1 way to accomplish the same goal. You'll find your "path to enlightenment" if you stick with it. :)

lmao path to enlightinment, nicely put...lol

I thin some of my recipes with vodka. I'd use PGA, but they don't sell it here in Ohio.

I also agree with Jewels about finding the way that works for you. A lot of people find that slotting doesn't work as well as punching for them. For me it's the opposite. I really tried to make the saddle valve carto punch method work, but slotting just does better for me. I don't get flooding, and the juice wicks perfectly. People use all sorts of different tanks, cartos, and juices though, so each variable is going to affect the solution that works.

Just expect that you are going to ruin some cartos before you find *the* technique. Maybe you will be lucky and figure it out right away, but you will probably ruin a few on your way to tank nirvana.
