Trouble getting it right on first RBA?

Hi everyone. My first rba arrived a week ago, kayfun Lite plus. All week ive been getting burnt taste, low flavour, but tonight I'm vaping like a god. After watching loads of youtube stuff I built a micro coil and wicked it with cotton wool. Urika, loads of vape, full flavour and no horrid after taste. Did anyone else have trouble at first?

One of the most important things when it comes to building a great coil is airflow, I use parralel coils and cotton in my kayfun's and they work great but the key is getting the amount of cotton right.
It should be able to move freely in the coil when you thread it through so it has room to swell when soaking up juice and not choke the coil.
This allows the juice to flow freely through the coil and prevents any dry hits.
The amount of cotton you use in a dripper is somewhat less important as you apply juice directly to the coil and you don't have to rely on a constant solid flow of juice.

Congrats on getting the KFL working, I enjoy the flavor and vape on mine. It took me a tank to get the airflow adjusted right and then was in heaven. I ended up taking out afc screw, I prefer the airy draw too like my dripper.

I am still waiting for mine in the mail so thank you for posting. I plan on watching the YouTubes again when it gets here. I started out on the little igo-L dripper and I fell in love with it. I have 3 so far but had read so much about the Kayfun that I just had to try it too.

So glad you got everything working right and you are "vaping like a god". heehee That was funny. Happy dripping.

I found this video very useful. waiting on my KFL+ to arrive in the mail. very excited to upgrade from my Kanger ProTank II. I've been building coils for it (and my ViVi before that) for over a year now, and this looks easy.

this is what I did with a kayfun3.1 , it's 3 super nano coil in smoke stack and the cotton wicking is wrapped around them there's nothing inside and I made sure that the cotton blocked off the top of the deck so it won't leak but it'll fill up under it to give it more juice. also I put a ring of cotton on top to where the chimey would just screw on
