Thanks
To clarify I should say I started buying e-cig stuff last fall. I didnt honestly use it through the year.
I would pick it up every once in awhile to try. It has just been the last couple of months that I am seriously
trying to quit.
Yes I go buy a pack and smoke it in 2 days then start again. But I have realized that I cant have a pack around or I will smoke them.
I do want to quit and stay quit. I am thinking that I am not using the right strength of nicotine and maybe not using the ecig correctly.

Go for 36mg - you can always cut it down if it's too strong. When I started vaping, that's what I did; and I made a concious effort to block out smoking cigarettes from my mind completely. Sometimes it takes more than that - buy an expensive PV; make yourself use it. If you throw as much money as you would spend normally on cigarettes, early on, you won't notice the cost and you will have the arsenal to get off the stinkies entirely. That's how I did it. Cigarette free for 2 yrs.

i smoked for almost 20 years,
I don't really like the idea of increasing the nic level, as it might not work for everyone,

what I did since January after I tried the ecig, is just challenged my self to not smoke a sig,
and it worked, vaping was giving me the same feeling almost, with better taste,

I just didn't think about sig's as much as possible, especially when I noticed that my health is getting better and better,

later on i used innoken AIO pcc which was amazing to use when going out, and kept the tank system (leo) used at home,
later was upgraded to DCT tank then vivi nova which is great, and now to GG stuff which I love,

another thing, is to really think about your health and the health of the people around you,
this might help,

cheers

Hi all.
I am new to this forum and would like some help.
I have been toying with an e-cig since fall 2011.
I now have 3 egos ( 2 twists ) an ego T Mod as well as
a kanger cartomizer kit. Also several flavors and nic strengths of juices.
I can usually go about 5 days using the ecig and no analogs.
However I always seem to go buy a pack around day 5.
I have noticed how good I feel when using just the ecig, my
breathing becomes easier i dont cough etc.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can kick
those darn stinkys for good.
Thanks, any hints would be appreciated.:)

Picture yourself laying in a bed not able to move due to the cancer treatments you have just gone through. Not sure if anyone else has watched a love one waste away from cancer, but that is what really did it for me. I dont want to put my daughter/wife through what I went through. All you really need is a real desire to stop, once you have that you will.

Congratulations! Was there any specific thing that helped you over the hump? Or did you just slog through it?

I found that going to a high nicotine level did the trick. It was able to meet the cravings. However I don't know when I will be able to wean down to a lower level, I think it's too early yet for that. But I am happy about not having my mind consumed with the panic of not having that pack of cigs around. :)

It really depends on what part of the smoking experience that you feel like you are missing as well. Try to break it down and figure out what part of the craving isn't being met. (Nicotene cravings, throat hit, etc...) Then you can try to address it with hardware/nic juice changes. I had a really easy time switching from analogs but it was a tough transition for my wife. It's different for everyone.

Lmao there are probably easier ways than abusing youself lol. Personally I think it's just time for u to cut the cord and throw your cigs away. you've been doing both long enough now. Give vaping a real chance to work for u. Trust all of us, you will eventually not want the stinkies, and u will begin to LOVE vaping.

Whenever I wanted a cig I would vape for a couple min and if I still wanted one after that I would punch myself in the face...before you know it, couple missing teeth, black eyes, smoke free..
