hi guys, ive been buying several different companies flavors and slowly but surely the more i vape a flavor i start to lose a sense of taste. is anyone else having these problems? please pm or post on this thread thanks!!

A few things - taste is subjective and can change (usually to the better if you were a smoker). If all else is constant - battery volts, ohms on attys and the same ejuice, then you're atty may need cleaning. The coil can get a build up that can affect ohms and that can affect taste. I'd soak the atty in high proof clear vodka for 15minutes and then blow it out - dry, etc. If really bad, you could first do a dry burn - holding and releasing the button for @5 seconds until you see a 'glow' and burn off some gunk - then clean in the vodka soak, dry, etc.

Also when vaping, refill, top off, as soon as you detect a drop in flavor - going past that will create more heat that reduces flavor even more in some flavors.

Picking up on Kent's "taste is subjective" observation: vaping is analogous to eating. Most of us would not want to eat the same food day in and day out. I know there are exceptions and there is probably a continuum on this. [I am at the far variety craving end; whereas my wife has the same dinner five nights out of seven.]

So vary your flavors. I've never understood what people mean by an "all day vape." I switch back and forth among half a dozen different flavors during the day. And, just like the cheese course in a fancy meal, start with the milder flavors and build to the more intense ones.

Yep, that happens to me too. Some folks can go for months on the same flavor and be as happy with it as the day they first tried it. I'm not one of those people.

Like mentioned above by a fine vet, vary them up. I have at least 3 different flavors each day and seldom have the the exact same mix the day after. If I don't then I get to the point I cannot taste a flavor that I really like and I have to stay off that flavor for months before I'll be able to taste it again.

This is the second reason I mix my own. (The first reason has nothing to do with this topic.) I have a number of small bottles of mixes that are "in development". They are not perfect yet, but close enough to be a good vape. So my latest tweaks are carried around in my pockets for taste-testing and to change up my flavors. (I usually have a number of attys on my person too as some flavors just do not mix and blowing an atty out is not polite in mixed company.)

And, some juice flavors do lose their level of taste over time. Some get stronger too and some don't change at all. (This is all according to my experience.) The ones I know to lose over time are kept in my 'fridge and I only carry a 3ml bottle from those on me. This means I carry a bunch of little bottles and wash and dry a number of little bottles with my jeans. So may not want to follow me down this path. Find what works for you. It's worth the effort.
