Troubleshoot: Weak DCT Taste/Flavour

Yo guys, I recently got a DCT 2.0ohm for my ECHO batteries(they claim 4.2v, which i kinda doubt)

btw, I was just transferring my juice over to the DCT(fresh, 1 small hole), then the flavour isn't as nice and strong as using a normal Carto.

SO DISAPPOINTING!

I tot its the hole, since i read somewhere 2 holes better.

So i self punched it with a hammer and screw driver + head wan.
now my hole looks like a + shape, but a hole is a hole.

So in total, 1 original small hole + my big big hole.
They are both on the bottom & on opposite sides.

Tried it & vape, still very lack of vape.
The vapour it produces is not THICK as compared to my normal cartos.

As the intake of Air is faster(since the droptip hole bigger)
The vapour when its not think, feels flavourless, even with my favourite hazelnut coffee! T_T.

Should I punch a bigger hole? how big should the hole be? Can someone show me your DCT carto hole?

E problem is not the hole, since u punched two. E hole shld b big enuf for u to be able to c e polyfill material inside.

I foresee tt e problem lies in e pv tt u're using. It just couldn't keep up. Maybe u could try 1.25 / 1.5ohms dcc instead. Anyway, i've tried dcc's and like them for e vapor tt they produce although flavour doesn't come thru too well.

Hmmm, cuz when i checked out HC, they say that the Echo batteries dun work well with DCTs below 2.0 ohms. i'll try to order a 1.5ohm to see if it works better.. but quite sad. =[ almost zero throat hit.. sighs..

Haha, btw, didn't use a nail, cuz all my nails i found in my house looks rusty.. my screw driver was the "cleanest" & "shiniest" thing i could find.. heh.. Maybe i might stop the DCT & go with a clearomizer.. sighs..

All this trial and error to find a good rig for myself is making a hole in pocket.. =[

Is yours an auto batt...? If it is, going LR on it might just fry e batt! If yours is e manual batt, go ahead!

A quick-fix would be to just ditch/dump/throw/bin tt dcc and get Boge XXLs and a good punching tool. Also, e length is jist nice for yr dct. Boge cartos give plenty of vapor, decent taste and gd TH at e right amt of voltage, imo. But e boge LRs r rated @ 2.2ohms and @ 4.2v, isn't tt bad though it's best @ 4.8v.

i have to agree with the xxl boges. loving mine, u can try the nail and hammer technique to punch them holes, if you want to save on a punching tool.

Bro, I believe I told you this before that 1.5ohm Dual Coil will not fire on your Echo battery. I have tried on it myself and it's indicated on the suppliers website in red. Only 2ohm and above will work so do not purchase the 1.5ohm Dual Coil.

If really want to change the cartomizer, try the Boge XXL single coil carto so that your DCT will not go waste.

Wah, thanks bro, yeah, I saw HC website say cannot have below 2ohm.. thats why i bought a 2ohm from thera.
A Boge XXL carto will fit into the Tank that Thera is selling?

Yes. They will fit into the tank. Of coz there will not have any 'flangs' as to the ones that is similiar to the pre punched DCC from the supplier but that is not a major cause of concern in anyways.


* Once you have gotten the carto, do not immediately punch hole on it. Instead fill it up with your liquid and fit it onto your battery to test if you like the vapour and flavour from it 1st. If everything is ok, then you can punch a hole on the same carto to fit into the tank.

very good point. yes, on most websites it says to only use the flanged dct cartos for the dct 'mods' but this isn't necessary. thanks lonely for the clarification, i was also thinking to get some 'cheap' tanks.

Yes.. They'll fit just nice. Same length and diameter is gd. 45mm L x 9.2mm D. Gd fit! E DCCs r a tad slimmer @ 9.15mm but has a flange. E seller has e boge xxl n also e tanks tt u'll need! Happy buying!

Flange is like an extra piece of metal tt juts out at e base of e carto before e threads to stop e carto frm sliding.

flanges r tiny bit of metal 'wings' that comes with dct cartos. used to prevent dct tanks from slipping downwards and rotating around the carto. dct tanks have a small hole at bottom cap to allow the flanges to fit in flushed.

from experience : HC normal DCC is a wee bit too thick for DCT. Can be used only after much force/strength forcing it through. Have not try on Others yet. May be like Rul46 said, can be used on Boge cartos.

Are you using it punched + Dual Coil Tanks, or just by itself? in any case, a cartomizer when filled to the max, and leave to sit for 5minutes, shouldn't give you Chao Tar smell. If it does, it usually means it's not wicking well...
