How about the composition of your juice? It may affect your wicking if you are using the smoktech's DCTs, as the hole may be too small to give efficient wicking. What I'll usually do is:
1)Do a few hard draws (Without Firing!!!) to draw the liquid from the tank to the carto. In some instances, it helps.
2)After a couple of hard draws, you'll feel the taste of whatever you are supposed to be vaping. Pull out your drip tip to double check the polyfill.
3)If your juice colour is obvious, you can see the colour of your juice in the polyfill.
4)If you still taste Chow Tar taste after following the last few steps, throw your carto swa. Go get a new one or something. It's not funny vaping on Chow Tar Juice. I have a friend who used to vape Chow Tar Juice. Thinking that it's normal.
