troubleshooting x6 battery

My local vape shop gave me a deal on a battery, the owner calling it "chinese junk." He bought several batteries of this type, several did not even hold a charge. ten bucks for what was described as a 1300mah batter with vv. three clicks adjusts the voltage. looking through google images, it looks like its an x6 battery.

the product description for these batteries indicate that the led light glows red, purple, and blue for the different voltage levels. The one I bought goes through green, red, blue, and a vaguely orange color. After testing the voltage each color produces 3.7 volts. My two guesses are this thing is total junk (apart from the great battery life) or it could possibly be variable wattage instead of voltage.

Google isn't helping me on this one so I thought I'd try for an answer here.

All help is good help. All help is appreciated.

Thanks All

Answers to what?

The owner of the shop already told you it was China Junk. Why did you buy it? You've tested it and found that it actually is CJ. Throw it away, no Recycle it, and chalk up the $10 to experience.

The battery has a great life span. Not upset about it at all. Just wondering if there was a version of the x6 that had variable wattage. As far as I can tell the battery is being marketed by several different companies.
If the volts are just gonna stay at 3.7 and I just get to choose the light color I am fine with that. I have no way to test watts so I figured I'd ask around here.

Look up kamery X6 I think this is what it sounds like. If thats the case, no its only variable voltage but only has three settings, not sure exactly what those three choices are but you can find out by Google, the kamery x6. Definitely not variable wattage. I believe blue is the highest and I'm thinking it's not much higher than 4.2. I believe it's 3.6, 3.8, and 4.2 volts. Blue being 4.2. Hope this helps. Also I believe it's 1300mah.

Original FT reviews stated that the early ones were NOT VV and the light color just indicated charge level. Later reviews said that the later versions WERE VV. You may have either one, or some even cheaper clone made by someone else. May be that it is VV, but something is wrong with the regulator board. If you can disassemble it, you can order Ego boards from FT - requires some soldering skill.
