I have a question for ya'll...

I just received a boxmod, very excited..

I go to put in my trustfire 14500s (Flame jacket) and they won't fit! I feel like I'm going to break either the mod or the battery trying to force them in there.. they just aren't fitting.

Is this common or is something wrong? I purchased the trustfires from CLouds of Vapor.. I had a couple people tell me that could be a sign they are counterfeit...

I had to use my only set of AW IMR 14500s in there, because they are the only things that would fit.

Does anyone have tips/advice? Do you think normal AW 14500s would fit? Not sure of the size difference...

Please help, heh!

I'm tempted to peel off the labeling on my 2 Ultrafire BRC 18650, 3000mAh that are Red and Silver.
They don't fit either of my chargers unless I leave the pos end hanging out barely making contact w/ the charger and are too long for battery holders.
The labeling don't look right either, both batt lables are crinkled.
I bought these batts from a Chinese web site, Dino Direct.

They *ARE* counterfeit

That blows, I know that the vendors, COV or KVS are not responsible for this fraud, but the company that is doing this needs to be dealt with by the authorities. That kind of business practice is extremely dangerous to consumers.

Mine have been sitting on my shelf for a bit, I haven't been using them but I need to check for this either way now.

I'm always willing to pay more for peace of mind. It's amazing the kind of risks some people will take to save a few bucks. Remember, this is something you are putting in front of your face all the time. The last thing you want is a catasrophic battery failure. I don't think everyone is aware what these batteries can do if they fail. There are some stickies in the newbie section about battery awareness, but people don't always see the fine print and just assume things are safe when they may not be.
