If it does not hold a charge, toss it! But bring it to a battery disposal facility.

LiIon's are really disposables; claims are around 300 recharges, but the spread is pretty wide. You can get some that go much higher, but a goodly portion of them go much lower. IMHO, PV's like the Ego and Riva without replaceable batteries are an expensive proposition. One is tossing a $15-$25 battery vs a $3 battery. That is why I bought an Icon and ePower; small units with good battery life that are basically failsafe. My biggest dread is traveling for work and finding myself without a battery. I had two ego's fail on a recent trip-fortunately at the end and had a spare in the car which was parked at the airport. Now I carry spare everything.

It may sound unfair to the vendors, but I get my batteries mostly from China since they all come from there anyway. Cost is 1/2 to 2/3 less than in the US for the same Trustfire, Ultrafire, AW. Dealextreme includes shipping.
