Truth about Ravens and the AGR?

Spiked my interest again tonight so I decided to confirm the carto was sealing off in the AGR tank, so I taped the holes shut on the Raven, inserted it in the AGR tank and filled with water. The exterior of the carto is sealing, no leaks. Eliminates an issue with the sanding of the small flange that protrudes beyond the diameter of the carto. It's leaking through the 501 connection.

unless you gripped the raven near the slots ..shifting the wick and coil, creating enough of a gap for the liquid to flow through

That would be a possibility. One I'm not sure I can eliminate as an issue. I would hope that shifting the wick and coil wouldnt be that easy but if it is that could be the reason for the leaking.

Well, gave up. To much time involved for me trying to figure out what is wrong. Ordered 4 protanks instead and a 5 pack of evod heads. Sorry Raven fans, really wanted them to work. I'll use them and my AGA T2. Thanks for help.

Have you tried the Protank, or did you just order 4 of them to try 'em out?

I had 1. Ordered 4 more. I really like the protank. Especially with evod heads in it.
