Trying again... VG issue

OK, I'm going to ask this again in this sub-forum rather than the General e-liquid discussion since the DIYers may know more about it.

I have this bottle of VG that is harsh. Gives TH. It shouldn't. Right? WTH is up with that? Could it be bad VG? Cheap VG?

If I vape it by itself, clean atty. I get TH.

Problem is, I don't have any more "old kind" of VG to test and compare with. This new VG came from a reputable vendor. I guess I'll have to order more VG from a couple of other vendors to find out. But I thought I'd just ask if anyone ever had any harsh/TH VG?

P.S. I'm using the VG to cut some juice to reduce the nic, so I can vape different nic levels. Would rather not add anymore TH to what is there.

Thanks! Good idea ice, except IDK if it is smooth. If it is "a little harsh" then, it won't do me any good. So....

I use CVS brand "Pure Glycerin USP" and when I vape with just it (just for effect) it vapes clean and smooth. I am on the ever search for TH, so I would be interested to know where you got it!
