Hi Lara and welcome to the forum. I remember when I first started and the flavors were amazing. The issue that got me to put down the cigs for good was finding the proper nicotine level. Once that craving is satisfied the rest is a new world.

Whatever works for you is the most important issue. There is a keyword activated search box in the top right corner of every page, I still use it often (daily). Don't be shy about asking questions, there are many experts here to help you in your journey to stay off smoking. They've helped me.

Good luck!

trying nicotine e juice for the first time In my ce 4. I got pina colada flavor. I am really liking it. Cigarettes are making my throat and chest sore. But my life is a bit crazy so I want to smoke, just safer. I am really pleased so far. Very relaxing.

Hi, Laura, Welcome to ECF!

I'm glad you discovered vaping. (And you aren't smoking! You're vaping, it's a totally different thing!)

Glad to hear it's working for you, keep it up!

If you find that your e-cigarette isn't working for you in the long term, there are better heads than the CE4, just ask! But in the mean time, if it's working for you, go for it!

A CE4 is a good place to start. Not a bad vape and cheap to get started. I am still vaping Esmart and T4 clearomizers on Ego style batteries. They take care of me. 3 months without a cig after 35 or so years of smoking. Hang in there you will start feeling much better soon. In 2 weeks or so I noticed much more wind and no morning little cough which I had started to develop with cigs. If you shop wisely you can get the equipment you need and be saving money in a few weeks or less. You will need 2-3 batteries and a few clearomizers for different flavors and some coils and of course juice.

I have 10 glass EVOD clones ordered from Fasttech for a bit over $3 each, takes a while to get them though from China. I ordered 10 or so coils too and plan on rebuilding them to save even more money. I have the wick and Kanthal ready. I shopped around when I started and got some 650 ma ego style batteries for under $7 each. 3 of them last me a hard days vaping. I got 6 :) You do need an extra charger as well for charging more than one battery at the same time and just in case one quits :(

Also watch lots of vaping vids on Youtube to learn the care and feeding of your clearomizer and other equipment. Also you will get ideas of what equipment you might want to later move on to.

Resisting the allure of shiny new things may be your greatest difficulty in the vaping world.

Yes, particularly if you spend time on ECF!

To help the process along, here are some heads which are similar to the CE4's, except they're much better:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007168/1594202-h2-bottom-coil-clearomizers-10-pack-2-0ml

(plastic, bottom-coil, $1.09 each if you buy the 10-pack, ) From China, so they'll take a couple of weeks to get to you. But cheaper, and MUCH better than the CE4's!

I do not understand all the likes for the OP post. Somebody is getting hooked on nicotine, is it so exiting?

AlienTraveler,
There are a lot of folks who do not see nicotine in the same light as you, with regards to dependance, harm, and benefits. I doubt I can convince you to change your mind about nicotine, but if you're open to the idea, there are several studies I could cite which might change your mind. "hooked on nicotine" is a tough starting point, though.

Agree, haven't smoked a cigarette in 13 years and I go all work day without vaping (by choice). I do enjoy vaping nicotine though, and the hobby aspect of it (building coils, etc). 6mg (unflavored) is what I settled on in a dripper or tank. It is very social when among other vapers. I still roll the Wife's cigarettes and not once have I felt tempted. To me it is like having a couple of beers or a glass of wine. A way to relax. I know a few people who wake up with a beer and go to sleep with one. That doesn't mean if you decide to kick back and have a drink you are on the way to becoming a raging alcoholic...

Here's to your first step quitting cigarettes. [emoji106]
