If you're atty was improperly prepped for use or had a defective wick, the burnt taste will be hard to get rid of. I've had this happen and the only solution I'm aware of is to dewick. Advice from Cisco himself.

I believe the Joye 306 ships with primer, so I don't think you vaped it dry, must be a crappy wick that will need to be removed. Use tweezers and pull it out.

For dry shipped atties like Cisco/IKV, put in about 8-9 drops and WAIT - I like at least 30 min. Then 3 more drops activate once or twice, short bursts without inhaling. If all seems well you're good to go. If it's funky add a couple more drops.

For Joye atties, blow out the primer as much as possible, then do the steps above.

Hope that helps!

I bought some bulk joye 510s and was shocked how bad they taste right out of the box. I blew out the primer and put 3 primer drops then let it set about 5 minutes and put 3 more drops ----> really bad taste even after this!

The next one (on my 2nd right now) I blew out the primer and ran hot tap water through it and let it dry for a day. After the tap water rinse it was much better. Flavor was good and no burnt taste.

I'm sticking with cisco attys and boge cartos now.
