Yeah.....it doesn't seem to work for me on about 50% of them either.....seems the premiums have the sock thingie threaded thru the wire........and they are all burnt big time too

Some of them...I was able to get everything out with the wire intact and it still fires on a battery. I have never dripped....only used cartos......can you drip liquid in the tube and still vape without any filler and no sock around the wire??? DBody said to leave the sock in place but these were so burnt they came out in pieces.

Should I just throw these away?

I use a small flat screwdriver and pry up on the filler close to the outer part of the carto, away from the tube. I work my way around in a circle prying a little as i go. Doesnt take too much time and the filler will come out as a whole piece. once you get it pried up, make sure you use tweezers or a small set of needle nose to grab the filler and gently pull. grab the filler close to the outer edge and not the center part. Sounds harder than it really is. out of 50 or so i have pulled the filler out of, i might have ruined 5, and most of them were in the beginning when i was perfecting the method.

I'll keep trying, I need patience and perhaps a defter touch -- if you say it can be done, it must be so! The dripping I did right on the wire was awesome but just a bit messy without the wick as I heavily overfilled; I really want to try it quasi-normally.....

Thanks, Mutts, I though I was a .....!

I've done a couple now and I'm so head-rushing right now on my cheesecake Mrs. t's -- everyone is right, dripping is awesome, blah, blah, blah! Messy, though, and I ordered drip tips for the future.

One thing I did discover is they are easier to remove when moist -- or maybe not cleaned and dried a couple times! TY for the info, it'd be a good idea if this fact was added to dogsbody video as I think it would ease others' frustrations with this pseudo-mod.

I just got my shorty delrin drip tips yesterday, and I am loving it! I had trouble getting the filler out, too, but luckily I got one usable carto, and was able to try it. I think I need to find a slimmer needle nose pliers (if I have one). I might try Mutt's trick using the screwdriver from my eyeglasses repair kit.

Thanks for the tip about the filler being damp. That might help me, too.

This what I carry with me, just in case. On the clip are 3 different type "tools". The long skinny one is strong enough to push the batteries out of the GLV2 tube (not needed anymore as they slide in and out perfectly, but is also a straight/phillips screwdriver for eyeglasses. The straight one can be used to remove the filler from a carto. The phillips is good for removing the caps from cartos. The other tool there is just a piece from one of those binder clips, pushed together and taped so it could be put on a keyring, Really dont use it anymore, but i aint throwing it away. The last piece is a small set of pliers that has both type screwdrivers on it and a LED light. I use the pliers to remove the adapters from my PV as most have a 510 connection and i use 808's.

I tried this the other night and had no problems (other than the cart.) I used 2 tools, a flat eyeglass screwdriver to pry the edges and a decent pair of slanted tweezers to work the filler out with. I tried using a set of tweezers from my computer toolkit but they didn't even compare to the cosmetic tweezers.

The carto design is what killed this for me. On my super-cheapo carts, there are 2 holes drilled into the base of carto before the threads that screw into the battery. When I put juice in the carto with no filler (just the sock) it promptly ran out those two holes.

I've got some real carto's on the way and am looking forward to trying this out again.

You are always a fountain of useful info! Thank you very much

I already carry in an eyeglass case the screwdriver from my eyeglass kit, a binder clip wire, and I was going to get an extra pair of tweezers as the wife is wondering what happened to the downstairs one but I didn't think of the mini-pliers + light -- good idea. Once you get used to carrying smoking apparati you need new crap to take its place!

I heard tell that people buy padded cases at Walmart to carry their mods and tools -- do you do that?
