Trying to build Nicostick, any help available?

I do not recommend this, but it happened to me by accident. I am waiting for my voltmeter, as connections were not working, I was moving things around with my screwdriver, and got a little spark. Based on the sparks I got and where, I figured out where my problemS were, and they were intermittent. So off to resolder I go.

Well actually my husband did it but the mod is finally built! Thanks to Nicowolf and everyone who helped me.

Just got my version going today too; different switch and battery shape but basically same. And I have to agree - awesome. I won't be going back to small Lithium batts again, or NiMH. A larger Li-ion battery can really put out the power!

Maybe someone should start a thread, Thing we have learned about soldering.

1. do not touch the soldering iron to see if it is heating.
2. clean your iron

3. do not put the soldering iron in your pocket.
4. do not lick the soldering iron.

I went and bought me all new equipment yesterday. A better solding iron,flux,desolding tool,Smaller solder and a sponge pad. I am going to start all over.
