I noticed on my eGoT type-B with new attys that one draws very well and gives a great taste, the other atty gave a tight draw and burnt taste. I did blow out the primer in both before trying them.
I am finding that wick placement and the sweet spot are co-dependent on each other. If the atty is to far up the wick will not touch the coil enough, giving a burnt taste from just the coil burning. I have played with the wick placement and found it has to be pretty much right on the money.
Also, pushing the wick down towards the coil will give more juice, to a point, but, push to far down and the wick does not get any juice either, and gives a burnt taste, from the coil burning with a dry wick.
I have come pretty close to finding the right wick placement, any one else care to give their opinions on this, and if you have found that you can push the wick down too far causing a burnt taste.
