Okay well thats the exact opposite effect that I want. I want the coil to fire up the same as my 32ga 8 wrap coil does but cover more wick area, so I can get more vapor.

You're working with a micro coil, so a coil with wire wraps touching or very close to touching. I use between 9 - 12 wraps for these. I believe the accepted best practice is 10 - 12. I wouldn't sweat it too much as long as you're in the ballpark. I do use mine in RDAs, so I don't space issues to contend with which makes it easier for me.
IMO 30 gauge will be a good one to start with.
I have a Excel file of coil examples. Here are the entries for 30 gauge:

There's an Android app called "Vapers Toolbox" that does all the math for you, just plug in your numbers. Don't know about iPhone, but likely "there's an app for that" too.

What do you mean by coil ID
Do you mean the size of the pin used to wrap the coil?

I've never done this before, but if I got it right you should be able to access the file here. Click 'File' and 'Make a Copy' and download it to your computer. Let me know if it works

Ryedan, the excel file may not be accurate for OP as he's doing the wraps for a mini protank. May have to add maybe 0.4 ohms to the final resistance as the legs would be longer. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I tried the 10 wrap around the 1/16 bit (I used a nail with diameter 1.58mm diameter, which is same thing), It did not want to fire right so I cut it down to about 8 wraps, and turned my battery down to 3.8v and this thing is a dang fog machine.
Yes I have a multi meter, I bought after I fried my girlfriends battery (I shorted it, woopsee). the 8 wrap around a 1/16 bit is around 1.6-1.8ohm
Yep. So you got it! So you can just take (average) 1.7 divide by 8 to find your resistance per wrap and work it to your liking. Happy coiling!
Oops. Remember that's for the protank which has longer legs than RBAs. When you start on RBAs, Ryedan's sheet would give you the approximate resistance for RBAs.

Sooner or later, you'll have to replace the bottom grommet. It's more cost effective than buying the grommets from kidney puncher.

Lol thanks for the grommet fix I was just looking around for one, I burnt mine already a little bit (Chain vaping of course)

I tried using the ones from Kidney Puncher and never could get them to work. Found these (from another thread here)
Resistance Coil Insulator 10 Pack (CE Type Atty's, eg. Protank, Evod,T - Lightning Vapes and they are a perfect silicon replacement.
Yes they are a little pricey, but still less than half the cost of a new coil and they work perfect.
I checked out the thread on the silicon tubing and while I do like to fiddle, that just looks like too much work to get it right.
