Trying to Prepare

So I just ordered my first Reo today, went with the ReoGrand and RM2. I seriously cannot wait for this thing to arrive in the mail. Also, ordered four AW IMR batteries. The Kanthal and cotton I already have.

I have been building coils for months now and have them down pretty good, at any given time I'm running anything from dual nano coils at .3ohms to a twisted micro coil at .6ohms to a regular microcoil at 1.2ohms. I know the Reo has performance limitations as far as sub ohming goes so my first coil will probably be a basic 1.2ohm microcoil with cotton.

While I wait, I was wondering if there are any hidden techniques that I can try to prepare myself for?

getting used to squonking, the pressure needed and for how long.. especially with the cap on the RM2.. this is what I'm working on- everything else has been easy and satisfying.

I'd start with a simple single micro at about 1.2 Ohms - yes, there are limits to how low you can easily drive the device. For extra surface area, a twisted 32 gauge micro would work well, too.

These things hit nice and hard - vapor and flavour will not be an issue and you should prepare to have your vape adjusted to accommodate for the squonking (it's easy to get this straight after only a little practice).

Squonking is what a Reonaut calls pressing the juice bottle to feed the juice up into the atomizer from the bottom. There's no real trick to it, but you sort of have to develop the "feel" for it at first. It easily and quickly becomes second nature.

Below .7 ohms, somewhere around .6 is where you can run into issues with melting buttons and at .4 you'll collapse the spring. Cut an inverted V in the bottom of the tube that is inside the bottle so it does not suction to the bottle and cause issues.
