This will be my second time trying to quit smoking cigarettes by going the electronic route. My first attempt started well and I was enjoying electronic cigarettes until my blu starter pack basically stopped working after 3 weeks of use. Out of frustration and disappointment, feeling like I got suckered into spending money on a "fad" I figured e-cigs weren't my thing went back to regular cigarettes.

That was about a year ago and I'm feeling the urge to try and quit smoking again and I happened to stumble across this forum as I researched e-cigs again. Turns out Blu was a bad choice for my first introduction to e-cigs, so this time I've ordered a Halo G6 starter kit for this attempt and I'm eagerly awaiting for it to arrive in the mail.

While I'm waiting I have a few questions. I ordered blank LR carts and a bottle of 30 ML Turkish Tabacco hoping it helps since I smoke Camel.

My first question is if I'm about a pack a day smoker how long can I expect 30ml to last me before I plan to reorder?

My second question is some of the reviews I've read about Halo's Turkish flavor mention a flower type of taste. In case I don't like the Turkish is there a flavor I can order that is close to Blu's Classic Tabacco flavor for the Halo G6? I actually enjoyed the flavor from the Blu starter kit and kind if liked the choclately after taste they had.

Hello and welcome. It's hard to judge just how much liquid any individual will vape, but average use is in the 2 to 5 ml a day range.

I've never used blu, but my understanding is that Johnson's Creek makes their juice, so they might sell the exact same liquid. Maybe someone else could be more specific about that.

30ml could last you as little as a week, or a few weeks.
Good chance that since you are unaccustommed you will end up wasting some;

Just as something to think about, for some people going to other flavors than tobacco seems to help the whole quitting thing a LOT. The reason seems to be as follows.

Say you love peaches and sweet stuff. So you find a peaches and cream you love. I mean just would vape all day even if it didn't have nicotine in it. Then, when you do light up an analog (which also seems to be another help. Don't ban yourself right off from cigarettes, but let it happen.) it tastes nasty compared to the really good tasting juice.

That seems to be part of the trick. Make the analogs taste awful compared to what you're vaping. That way the shock retrains the lizard part of your brain.

Which might also help. Instead of having a pack of your favorite analogs around, get a pack of the worst trash you could imagine. You know, those awful sour tasting, almost rotten ultra cheap smokes from the little convenience store with the incense smoke you can walk on. Leave them out to get stale. Let 'em get good and nasty.

Now go ahead and let yourself smoke one if you really want one. Compared to the juice you're vaping, I'm betting you'll gag, which will train your mind that, "Oh, yuck, those things are disgusting. I don't want anything to do with them. Give me that e-cig right now!" Sorta like that time as a 21 year old kid when you sucked down a fifth of Cuervo and now you can't stand tequila in any way shape or form. ;)

(No one was harmed in the creation of these examples. I actually don't like peaches and love a good margarita.)

Im familiar with the blu classic tobacco flavor as it was the only one I preferred when I used that kit. IMO it was more of a pipe tobacco then any cigarette I have ever smoked. A tobacco of like Marlboro red with just enough caramel to taste should be somewhat close. I wish you the best of luck this go round. You made a much better choice to get vaping gear its been the only thing that worked for me 3PAD 30+ year smoker quite day one of vaping 12 weeks ago and now down to 3mg nic juice. Vaping just flat out works

Epicdoom yeah I've tried patches and everything else and they never worked, I was doing good with the Blu's until they died on me.

I never knew vaping had such a selection of products until I started researching it more.

My first attempt I just went with Blu because I'd seen commercials and didn't really know I had a selection. Just saw them in a local store one day and figured I'd give them a shot.

I've been smoking about 15 years now and my kids are giving me more motivation to quit than I've usually had in the past.

Considering that Blu and the few other cig-a-likes made by the big tobacco companies will be the only ones left when the FDA's regulations become law, you may want to stick with those brands. Blu is owned by Lorrilard, so they will be able to stay on the market. Sealed carts will most likely be the only method, also. I don't believe Halo has been bought by a tobacco company but I'm not sure.

Tindomul, I went the route amolsom suggested after beating myself up trying to find a Marlboro Red flavor. Wasted a ton of money on V2 ciglikes and it didn't work until I found a flavor I liked, then cigs tasted like crap.

What other flavors grab you. Maybe some of the folks here can turn you onto a couple good juices (as well as vendors) for a flavor you enjoy.

Mine was and still is Nicoticket Virus and Highbrow Peach Thymbra with two extra flavor shots. The Nicotickets good right out of the mailbox, the peach needs about two weeks to get ripe (steep).

Good luck, I hope you kill the craving this time around!

I actually vape EC Blend's Fire and Ice when I want an analog (or a snack). It totally smacks the idea right out of my head. Aroma Ejuice Manufacturer of WTA Whole Tobacco Alkaloid Eliquid carries a Djarum clone that also tends to completely clobber any analog ideas I might have.

I've heard nothing but good about Halo eJuice, as much as any supplier of eJuice, that is. Go take a look at the ejuice reviews forum. There are lots of great pointers in there.

The biggest thing to remember is it's rather like music. One person's noise is another's total bliss. About the only thing I'd say to stay away from is the really cheap Chinese stuff. Some people like it, but when it's bad, it's really disgusting. Otherwise, have fun. Sampler packs or small bottles are your friend.

working equipment is the key to quitting smoking and getting into vaping. if your have a bad experience with your first e cig, you will go back to smoking. Patches doesn't work, it gave me crazy dreams. I would recommend you get a ego style battery. I started with an evod kit. for $40 you get 2 batteries, 2 clearo tanks, 7 coils and charger.

how long does 30ml last? I asked the same question. I was told that 10ml equals to 1 carton of cigs. you may hear different things. The reality is that vaping is not like smoking. with a cig, there is a start and an end to each cig. with vaping, you can puff until you run out of juice or your battery dies. its not the same as smoking. I was a 1 to 1 1/2 pack a day smoking. I do around 3 to 4 ml a day. usage will depend on you.

also, you may want to try non tobacco favorites. I started with menthol tobacco juice. however once i try some non tobacco favorites, i switch away from tobacco favorites. reg cigs now taste nasty. You show visit a vape show in your area that will allow you to try different favors.

I've to agree on the evod advice, the coils with it are so-so, once you get 1.8 ohm coils they're realy good!
The kit is fairly cheap aswell.
I always recommend that evod kit or a vision spinner mini protank2 combo. (Abit more expensive but better option due variable voltage, glass tank.)
But since i bought evod as backup pair i've found myself rather pick up the evod than vvbattery. They're smaller so they fit the pocket way better + they look realy good.

And for juices, i tried tobacco flavours for about 2 weeks then i gave up on them. I found out that i'm a fruit / vanilla type of a vaper.
Tobacco does taste realy realy bad, so i'm not sure why we're trying to find the perfect tobacco flavour. :p
After a month or 2 vaping, real ciggys tastes horrible.

Good luck with your attempt TS.

Worrying about a ban on e-cigs or only allowing BT only e-cigs is one of those black helicopter/tinfoil hat games. Especially since it is crazy simple to extract nicotine from cigarettes.

Like not even high school chemistry.

So yeah, let them ban nicotine containing ejuice and squawk bloody murder over PVs. (Any ban on PVs would be like a ban on glass Smoking pipes. Everyone knows they're used for something other than tobacco, but they're still legal.) Heck, I've seen crack pipes for sale in nearly every single gas station and c store I've ever gone into in Baltimore! Don't ask me how I know that's what they are, I just do. Hush.

Don't scare the newb. Lets just concentrate on welcoming people who want to quit or even want to vape 0 nic, for whatever reason.

Welcome, Timdomul. I'm glad I could help and don't let anyone sway you with doomesday scenarios. If I've learned nothing else in my life, it's to enjoy what I have when I have it and let the future take care of itself. I've watched too many people die saying "If only ..." because they worried too much about what might happen in the future.

We all chase the cigarette taste when we first switch to e-cigs. Some stay with tobacco flavors but most find other flavors they prefer and stop looking for that perfect Marlboro replacement (or insert other brand here).

Me? Totally Wicked tobacco got me through the first few weeks. As a 1 1/2 pack a day, I started with 18 mg, went up to 24 mg, and flirted with 30 mg to keep me off the smokes.

Now? 14 months smoke-free, and I can't stand tobacco flavors. You will find what works for you. :)

Hey Tin, congratz. A 47 year smoker now almost a year in thanks to Blu, Bobas Bounty, Halo Tribeca and yes definitely Johnson Creek. Blue was the most reminiscent to me of the Marlboro Lt and occasionally Red I smoked the last two, a carton a week.

You need to at least sample a 30 of the Red Oak Tennessee Cured, about one of the most natural and satisfying tobacco's out there. There are richer, but being that you liked the blu you're probably geared for this flavor. Give yourself time to adjust and enjoy the alternatives as you get settled. This will get you over. Get some decent gear for the long haul, like a protank and a decent variable. Preferably a pair. Tanks get hot and that stresses coils, batteries and gives you the gurgles (leaking from inefficient coil vaporization). Switch over as tank and power go down (warms). Switch battery at 3.8V if you catch it to maintain efficiency.

Take a peek at my blog when you get a chance. Consider rebuilding early if you like the experience and want to maximize flavor. Not much work for two tanks and an abundance of reward.

I went through two 30ml the first 20 days or so but I had a lot of waste from clumsy handling. I ended up using a mild light honey flue to soften up the very rich JC after about two weeks. Usually not more than 20%. JC is very dense with pigments and will gunk up your coil if it's not efficient (well built). You can lengthen your coil life by about the same with straight vg in the same percent without too much loss of flavor.

Oh, two things. First start at 1.8% and don't down nic yourself thinking this will help you quit faster. No workey. Most people get a kick back and you'll get cravings that'll likely have you back up there or even consuming a higher nic level from which its harder to come down. Start a bit higher and gradually work down after several weeks. A little vg measured carefully (a good 3ml syringe will help) with your adjustment over the course of several weeks should have you down to say 1.6%. Don't push it. Enjoy the vape and get comfortable with it before you push the next drop. This slow process will get you there.

Good luck.

:)

Hey there Tindomul you you might want to give midnight rider a try. You can get it from heartlandvapes.com they are out of Oklahoma City I found this one very enjoyable for me it will have your chocolate taste not real strong but smooth. Like you I tried several different flavors before finding this one. Been vaping it for about 4 months now I started out at 12% nicotine and now down to 4% nicotine. This is all I vape all day long. Was a smoker for 47 years and quit about 5 months ago never looked back. Did smoke 2 the first month and decided they were nasty. You can do it and welcome to a new life of not stinking and feeling better good luck my friend.

Not sure about Blu's Classic tobacco flavor but the Johnson Creek Black Cherry mimics the Blu Cherry Crush flavor.

As for Halo liquid I tried the Turkish tobacco and didn't care for it, I also smoked Camel's. What I do like is the Tribeca from Halo.

It is my favorite e-liquid along with the Johnson Creek Black Cherry.

How long will a 30ml bottle last? that all depends on how much you vape each day.

I started with Blu but unlike you when I found Blu not cutting it I then switched to Halo and was successful getting off cigarettes.

Best of luck to you.
