I travel regularly (mostly international). My PV's have been to many countries. I have never had an issue. I fly carry on and take my PV stuff in my computer bag. Put your juice in your clear plastic baggie and you will be all set. While I DO vape on a plane my advise is to do it only if you can stealth vape. I have become a master at the stealth vape and make an unflavored 24mg juice at 100% PG just for flying. I have not set off any detectors in the bathroom but to be safe I blow the cloud down the sink drain. Airlines do not allow vaping.

Generally TSA is good with ecigs now. Bring batteries with you (carry-on), and any carry-on liquid must follow standard TSA rules for liquid -- only a couple ounces, in a ziploc bag. I had no problem vaping in the secure area, though I don't try for clouds.
As long as you hold the vapor in, then exhaust it into a cup of water or coffee, that works pretty well. Airplanes are not the place to try to make a statement, see how big a cloud of vapor you can create.

I last flew this spring and had no problem getting my 'gear' (riva, Xhale02 and a bottle of juice) through the walk-through security. The rest of my gear was stashed away in my checked luggage. I used the restroom to vape, not wanting to take chances with security. No smoke alarms. BTW I took the train home. I vaped in my seat when I sat alone and always kept an eye out for the conductor. Otherwise I vaped in the restroom with no problems with smoke detectors. At smoke stops I vaped with the rest of the analoggers and curiously no one ever asked me about my Riva.

Well, for a non-TSA related comment, if you want an airline you can vape on the plane, its Cubana all the way. This is not a reason to ever fly that airline. And if you do go to cuba, just know that I think they allow smoking on the plane, because every condemned person deserves a final cigarette...

Now executive lounges. I don't know about any of their official policy, and if its just been fantastic good luck, but there has yet to be an Admirals club to ask me to stop. Sure, some have wandered over to me, but then they realize its not smoke, and never ask me about it... Probably good luck.
