Tube replacement issue

I'm replacing the tubing on my mini. I 1st removed the little black cover so I could have better access to it. The tubing that was on there was on real tight and from what I can tell it was superglued on. My problem is getting all of the flexible tubing off of the brass nipple in order to have a tight fit. I've got most of it off to where the tubing will slide on to the nipple but just not far enough. Is there a trick to getting that old tubing completely stripped off? And when I put the new tubing on should it be superglued again? Thanks..

I never had that issue..as a matter of fact I replaced mine because it came off accidently (or I was too rough when adding juice). Glue is applied when they are assembled an I know that because I asked if I needed to apply glue when I reattached mine....but not superglue.

i do not use glue when replacing my feed tubes

I just put it back together without glue so I guess time will tell. The one I took of was put on with glue though. I never did get it all completely off, also the tubing that I took off was smaller in outside diameter. The new one fits the nipple fine though. If it leaks or if I have problems with it coming off I'll re-attach it with glue I guess.

Robert does use super glue for the tubing. Just a little bit.

You can scrape off with an exacto knife to get a clean and even surface. Glue is not mandatory but it can help keep the tubing in place.
