no routine here, except put each pv in its holder, and put what needs to be charged on the chargers. if i have a early day(opening shift) i will refill my dct and vivi nova, and make sure i have some fully charged batteries already set up. but nothing gets powered down or disassembled. lavatube, darwin, wetbox, infernos all are ready to vape upon pick up

I never took the time to read about the safety factor of removing batteries. I didn't know anything could/might happen. We leave batteries in phones, smoke alarms, flashlights, radios, car remotes etc...

My routine has been to make sure I knew what device I was taking the next morning, and put them in my purse. I have a charger already in there. And I take one to bed for the iPad or Nook.

I don't charge batteries over-night, but that's about it.

This does remind me of a Judge Judy show. A person was trying to get money for a laptop charger starting a fire. Judy said, "only an idiot would leave the charger on" (not the exact quote). I was like REALLY???

And now this? hmmmm...guess I've had my warning.

I don't have any sort of routine. I charge my batteries every once in a while, rarely draining them completely, but I don't have a set "charging time." I vape in bed while watching TV and I figure I'm doing pretty good on the nights I remember to set it on my nightstand instead of falling asleep with it in my hand. I clean them whenever I notice the threads looking dirty and the tanks/ce3s whenever I happen to vape them dry (I really should do this more often). That's pretty much it.

Let's see....

I fill my Z Atty, which I normally leave on my LTv2 overnight.

Remove battery from LT.

Start the charge of my 18650s and Ego batts.

I normally don't top all of my other tanks because I bring a few bottles of juice with me to work every day.

My batteries normally charge on my nightstand next to my bed. If something happens to them over night, I will at least be right there to address it lol

Certainly Dkim, Thats exactly what this post has done for me and I probably will not go to the extent which you yourself has said is extensive at least not with what I am using now but I will be sure to take a couple steps to precaution now just knowing some of the things that can happen. Such as just making sure I remove things from the chargers and making sure my equipment is turned off and disconnecting the tank, atty, or cart. Just simple steps as nothing I use right now have removable batteries but I am sure that will change in the future. I am looking in to a provari sometime in the near future which I know is a big jump from what I am using now but I have a friend with one who loves it and I have tried it and really like it myself but as I save for that I may go with an ego twist. But like I said just brought to light some simple steps I can take to minimize my risks.

And really its all about piece of mind you have to do what you have to do to make yourself feel comfortable. :) Again just so happy I have found this forum its a great place to learn and share. :)

Glad to see my OCD-ness has helped a few today. (Though my wife will probably say that it's NOT helping her. Haha!)

I too am thinking long & hard about the ProVari. Currently using four eGo twists in both 650mah and 1000mah. For the price, I highly recommend them as a go-between until your ProVari day comes! Best of luck to us both!

I think this thread made me feel less comfortable with my little Chinese time bombs.

The new routine starts tonight! (I promise to at least turn them off.)

The same mentality as I have with my firearms at home.

Understand. Respect. Care.

I know my guns will not misfire BECAUSE I do not store ammo in the chamber nor do I insert the magazine into the firearm. (Different topic, different forum.)

#8 made me lol! I usually charge the batteries at night if needed but thats about it. I've never had any issue with any of my pv's and I've been vaping about a year.

Made me laugh too as I was writing it out.

I don't put the condoms on the rubber to be "safe," but rather as a mark so I know which ones are fully charged for use. I have four eGo Twists I cycle through and I got confused at times so I came up with the idea of putting the rubber condoms on the ends that came with my cartos/clearos.

I have some ego batteries with LED's on them which show the voltage and battery life. You can also go up or down with the voltage in .01 increments. I prefer them over the twist.

You can find them here:
Super Pass-Thru Variable Voltage eGo (v2)

Ritual? More like wake up in the morning and look to see if you bothered to put the thing on the table or fell asleep with it in your hand. It will be near, either set on the table, floor, or next to wherever my hand was when I fell asleep.

I fill up before I leave the house, I charge when they need charging (try not to let them run to the point of blinking) and promptly remove them when the light turns green. I don't stress too much over it.
