Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has finally opened her eyes for the first time isn't that wonderful. I can't understand why stuff like this happens. I'm sure happy she is getting better and although we still don't know what her outcome will be at least she's making improvements in leaps and bounds.

It's pretty clear that the guy had/has mental issues. If that's so, there's probably no understanding the reasoning of a short-circuiting mind.

He's part of another forum I read, his posts were extremely odd....it was pretty weird finding out after the incident that he was part of the community...I havent been on ECF in a while so Im not sure if I can give the name of the forum, but it is a conspiracy site so go figure.
I've been following this as well and am happy that she is even still alive. Responding to commands and opening her eyes is very encouraging.

Well I understand mental illness and as sad as this is I'm sure if the guy was thinking normal and clear he would be disgusted too. I was talking about the people that go out killing for the fun of it or because they got a gripe.

Wow, real cool. They helped her sit up and dangle her feet over the edge of the bed and opened her un-bandaged eye then tried to focus on loved ones. I know I'm reaching but I do pray she is pretty close to the way she was. I know with parts of her brain damaged she's not going to be 100% but miracles do happen.
They also laid to rest Christina Taylor Green today, the little 9yr. old girl that was killed. I pray that her family finds a little peace and closure now. May she be at peace in our Lords loving care.
