Turned the corner last night. Decided I don't like analogs anymore!

I was at my brothers house last night for some drinking and talk around the fire pit. I bummed a real cig from a friend to see how much better it was. I really hated the flavor. He smokes the cheapest ones he can buy, Pall Mall I think they were. Yuck! An hour or so later, my nephew showed up and he rolls his own with good tobacco. I always liked his smokes but I tried one and it tasted awful just like the Pall Mall.

I have only been vaping for about a week and a half. Is it normal to be turned off analogs so soon? I can honestly say that I now prefer my Halo G6 kit to real burning tobacco. I never actually thought I would prefer it. I thought I would just get used to it enough the cravings for real smokes would be manageable.

Im very happy about this as it means I will almost certainly be able to quit smoking real cigs. I was in doubt when I started vaping and the best I hoped for was to reduce smoking real cigs by 50-75%. I figured it would be a good stand in but in the back of my mind, I kind of thought I would keep smoking analogs from time to time.

The way I feel now, I'm pretty sure I'm done with real burning tobacco for good. I couldn't be happier. I want to thank this forum for existing and all the advice I already received and will receive as I now jump headlong into vaping. I was just testing the waters at first but now I'm ready to spend more money and time and get more and better vaping gear. I look at it as an investment. Every dollar spent on vaping is helping me stay far away from the nasty tar sticks that were slowly killing me I'm sure.

My experience is similar. I got an e-cig because I knew I would have to go a week without smoking. I only got it as an emergency measure. In the past, I had a cigalike with cartridges that did a somewhat adequate job of delivering nicotine, but as soon as the emergency situation had passed, I eagerly got myself a pack of cigarettes at the first opportunity.

This time, I just by chance discovered a new e-cigarette store, and they sold me an Ego. I had planned on bringing disposable cigalikes, but brought the Ego instead (along with my old cartridge cigalike as a backup). When I got home a week later, there were no cigarettes in the house, and I didn't feel any particular rush to go buy any. When I did finally try a real cigarette (my wife still smokes, but not very much), I found that it tasted like burnt paper.
