I Smoked TWO Analogs Last Night! :-(

I was having problems getting good vapor last night--finally took out the wick in my atty and that has helped. But..........smoked not one, but two damn analogs!

I'm surprised at myself. Thought I'd never smoke another one!

I just started vaping Wedneday at noon. For those not familiar, I've smoked 35+ years and am loving vaping! Just working out the quirks.

I know, I know....I shouldn't be hard on myself. I've told myself all along I can have a cig if I want. I don't want to put pressure on myself. But from the moment I got some good ejuice I've been totally into this.

So...yeah, was having a little problem getting good hits. But why'd I have two cigs? I just don't want to fall back into analogs. I know I won't.......?

But didn't think I'd pick up another cig, either.

How many have been in my shoes?

Arrrrggg!

Raises hand!!!!!
Must have been a 2 analog day, because I did the same thing and it was 2 in a row also! When I was done, I said, "Why the hell did I do THAT? Wasn't one enough???????" Evidently not!

Can't be hard on yourself, it's not worth it! Just enjoy what you're doing and KNOW that eventually, you won't even care about the analogs. I am still waiting to "not care" but won't stress over it because I know it will come.......

Just hang in there and know we can relate!

Definitely dont be too hard on yourself, you've been vaping for 2 two days now already, think about how many analogs you did NOT smoke in that time. The first week will most likely be difficult, but just stick through it. If you happen to smoke a few more here and there, don't worry about it. :D

No biggie. I took a week after I got the right PV for me and the right strength liquid (I needed 24, some need a bit higher, some lower), going through one last pack of smokes. Pretty common once someone has put them down for a while is that if they then do have one it tastes like crud; I'd rather not find out, so keep a carto with some high octane liquid in it.

It gets a lot easier, keep up the good work :)

i agree with markfm. the battle is in the juice. i used to smoke ultra light cigs- about a half to 3/4 of a pack a day. now i vape medium... and a bunch more than i used to smoke. my point is... technically, i'm using a higher level of nicotine. i'm using it more often than i used cigarettes. BUT, i'm not sucking in thousands of carcinogens and chemicals, and i'm saving a bunch of money. since getting my PV, i have not had or wanted an analog. please, don't take that wrong... i do not intend to sound holier than thou. just sharing my ideas on how to beat the cigarette monster. don't be hard on yourself. you're actually winning!! what kind of kit are you using? a good friend of mine could not give up cigs until i convinced him to toss his 808 and get an eGo. he just tossed 2 cartons in the garbage...

So what. Its ok. Heck about a month in to it, my atty died on me while I was at work. Of course I then bummed a smoke. Best thing that could have happened to me. No more curiousity or wandering what a cig would be like. Now I know.... yuck. I learned from it.

IMO the determining factor of preferring vaping hands down over smoking is to have a solid high performance device. That makes vaping truly more pleasurable than a cig on its best day.

Thanks SO much you guys!! It is so nice to read all your replies!!

UGH....stress is definitely one of the triggers, as we all know. First thing today I got into an argument with my hubby and BAM, grabbed a cig!

My thing is I need to not have the burnt taste (removed the wick, and that's helped), and learning how much juice to drip and when not to add more, getting that good hit of vapor, and remembering to take long, slow draws. I know it's all a learning process, as well as overcoming 35+ years of a terrible addiction and habit.

So...hey, if I end up finishing up my carton of smokes I have before I'm completely off analogs, so be it! I have to come at in that light or I'll stress too much (ooops...too late lol).

Thanks again to everyone!! These forums help SO much!!
