Worth taking a look David Goerlitz, the former Winston Man, is the President with SE owner, an InLife Director and the owner of Envy Electronic cigarettes on the board. Should be interesting as this develops.

Thanks, Jim. They approached some advocacy groups a little over a week ago, but I wasn't sure if I should post about it yet. They haven't asked for CASAA's input - how about NVC? Not that they have to, but it'd be nice if they were concerned about what consumers want and to know they are not just planning to cozy up to the FDA.

(I'll be a lot more interested once they put up the "Compliance" page.)

I would recommend caution when it comes to this group. There is some 'not-so-good' history with some of the members
and the "claim" that Ray Story "beat the FDA in court" is patently False!!

I have some of the same concerns. The BOD is strongly aligned with the entry level market and, as we know, most don't stay in that space very long. However, if they reach out and start getting other market players involved... We'll see. Hopefully some of these smaller operations will see the handwriting on the wall and get involved with something other than "business as normal" because the market could get negotiated into a very limited product. I can't really address NVC.

I agree Jim it is certainly in the best interests of the smaller companies to consider the "trade association" idea with all that a collective body could bring to the table - I just wish we had a more reliable and trustworthy association in place and one that would work closely with CASSA.

And while "tobacco Vapor" does not roll off the tongue very nicely, it's one way of embracing the recent court rulings classifying the e-cigarette as a tobacco product.

NVC is talking with them, but we have a lot of concerns. We'll be talking more later this week and I'll let you all know how it goes.

I have a few questions about it, too. But before I even get to questions, I haven't yet decided if David Goerlitz is maybe a loose cannon...I think he means well, but he seems almost too angry.
