Okay, I'm not going to go off and bash TW like I did the last time... I'll keep my cool, I promise. I do have a big problem, however. I just got my 4 LR atty's in the mail today from them. I unscrew the one I was vaping on all day from nhaler, and screw in my new TW one. I drip 3 drops and see juice start to ooze from the air holes. I realize they're pre-primered with something, so I blow it out, clean off the contacts and re-drip my juice. Inhale... nothing. Inhale again for 6 seconds... barely any vapor. I try it for 2 more mintutes, and still barely gett any vapor at all. I try out the other 3 the same way, all with the same type of issue. They feel more like HV atty's, but they clearly have LR printed on the other side of the TW logo (which gets two thumbs up from me for easy identification, btw). I don't get it, the flavor is really nice with the hit, it tastes more like when I used to use regular atty's on my Tornado, i.e. no hot/harsh hit, just nice juicy flavor, but even less vapor then the regular atty's that came with my TW kit.

Is anyone else out there experiencing this?

Do these TW LR atty's need to be broken in?

I'm soaking all 4 of them in Isopro for a little and gonna dry them off while I sleep and try them again when I wake up. I'm waiting to contact TW customer support until I try them again... it's not like I can claim DOA atty's, because they do work, just not any where near how they're supposed to.

I'm very happy to report that the isopro soak and air dry did wonders for these atty's. As soon as I screwed one in this morning it was instantly 100 times better then they were last night. It's much better then a regular 510 atty now, maybe about 85% of what my other LR atty's put out vapor-wise. The good thing is, they keep getting better as the hours roll by, so I see now that these do indeed have to be broken in (maybe just the ones I got). So fear not, those who have been thinking about picking up the TW LR atty's, at $8 they are a steal! Get em while they're

I don't think it just the LR atomizers that you have trouble with. I think more people are having trouble in general with recently purchased atomizers. I rarely had a atomizer die but a majority of the recent ones have died. I ordered 5 XHV from Iken and all 5 went back within a week. He replaced them and said there was a bad batch from China. He took them off of his site. Then I ordered 5 from Nhaler and within 2 days 2 of them died. Of course there is no warranty from Nhaler so I am stuck with 2 dead atomizers that cost 11.00 each. After I ordered them I realized Nhaler probably gets the same atomizers from China like Ikenvape.

I can't afford to spend 11.00 a day for atomizers. This may be the same problem people are having with LR atomizers. China may have some sort of problem recently. I would suggest ordered from a supplier that offers at least some kind of warranty.

Great advice, Martha. I keep thinking about all these changes, and how some of them are backfiring, and I think, If it ain't broke, why are you fixing it???????

I agree, when I started vaping in January, had good success with atomizers, still have some of them working today. In March I bought some 901's from Litecig, all of them lasted only a few days. I didn't order anymore from them but I'm beginning to think this is a widespread issue, especially after reading the above.

Just got my attys from TW. These low resistance attys are very nice and put out as much if not more vapor than my 5v pass thru. They are intended to be used on 3.7v devices. I expect significant battery drain as a result of their performance, I think that is why they do not recomend usage on smaller batteries. None the less I am glad my screwdriver again has a purpose.

Okay, so after I cleaned the atty's and let them dry... The first one worked great last night, and half of my day today at work today.. It got better and better. I was assuming the other 3 would be the same way. So about 4 hours into work I switch to the second one. I drip a few drops on the atty and take a puff. My eyes lit up with excitement... great juicy flavor! Then I exhaled and was very disappointed. This second atty didn't get better after the isopro soak, as the first one did. It was still worse then the regular 510 atty's that TW sent in my kit, I used it for 2 hours, continuously hitting it without any improved performance. Frustrated, I switched to the 3rd. This one is just like the first! A million times better then the second atty, and it keeps getting better. So I just popped in the 4th, and this one is good too.

I really think I need to get one of those thingys to test the ohm on that 2nd one. Where should I go to buy one?

Technically it should, but what I find is that it takes about 2 to 4 seconds to get a massive hit with these LR bad boys, but with a regular 510 it takes about 10 to 12 to still get less vapor. So while it does drain the battery faster, you're holding the button down less. Before I got my LR atty's my Tornado batt would last me about 8 - 11 hours. With the LR atty's it lasts 8 - 10 hours, not much of a difference. YMMV though.

Hey Skeeter. Could you elaborate about your Screwdriver? Why DIDN'T it have a purpose for a time?

They work very well but just learned that LR atties don't work as well using 14500 batteries. Something to do with discharge rate of 14500, anyone have good info on this?

Agreed. Tried it with my DSE905 using 14500's, didn't do much good. Couldn't see any difference at all. Still fiddling with it though.

Glad to hear they do work and there is a little break in period....I was ...... when I got my TW LR...I got 4 from TW and 5 from Nhaler. out of the 5 from Nhaler I got one that works. TW's seem to be better built but just not burning as hot and producing vapor (YET)...SO I'll give them a shot now.
