I just got the TW tech titan PCC portable recharger case. Is the battery supposed to screw into the case? I push down on the battery and theres a spring at the bottom but when i twist it it just twists and doesn't seem to screw into anything. since its a female connecter i don't see how it makes contact with the battery to charge it.

This threw me off, too. No, it just presses down when you close the case. It does NOT screw down.

Gee, that's not good. I don't know the answer to that because I don't have the manual anymore. Igetcha might know and he's pretty good with answering questions. I've only charged the case and then charged my battery in the case. And, to be honest, I don't really even use it even though I like it a lot. I have minifoggers and I thought that would be fun to have but I haven't really gotten a lot of use out of it. The case fits the titans/duras and minifoggers. Maybe more, I'm not sure.

Try asking igetcha or the janty sites-- you migh thave better luck with the UK people. The cases are the same.

can't you charge the battery while its being recharged? i had it plugged in and inserted a battery into it while the light was green. i fell asleep and when i woke up took out the battery took two puffs and it blinked 20 times and went dead.

Check to see if the 1st (when unit is standing up) light is lit red when you put in the battery. It should be red when the battery is charging in the case.

Also, make sure that battery button isn't being depressed when in the case. It's a tight fit and I found out that the battery doesn't charge if its pressed while in the case.

Some PCCs don't have a grove for the battery (like mine). I had to slice a wee bit off of the battery button with an exacto knife. Also, you can take the PCC apart and make your own groove.

When you put the battery in, the battery should flash a couple of times. Do not attempt to screw it in, simply drop it into the slot and it will charge as soon as the lid is closed.

Always hold onto the lid when opening it, as the spring loading can be quite fierce in action, which over time could cause a problem.

You can use it to charge a battery when its actually on charge itself.

I personally do NOT use it to charge the manual battery that comes with the Titan, although there are conflicting reports on as to whether it can be charged in the PCC or not.

It is a tiny bit longer than the auto battery, so I make sure its safe by only charging it on either the mains charger or USB charger.

Hope this helps.
