I ordered a small KR08 starter kit, some juice, blank carts and a set of pre-filled ones from LiteCig. They delivered fairly quickly and seem like good people to deal with.

I find some of the carts won't screw all the way into the battery. Some screw all the way in with a normal amount of torque. Others will leave a mm or 2 of space. Obviously, the ones with the gap just don't vape as well. The carts are slightly different as well. The ones that seem to work well have a softer, easier to remove mouth piece cap. The others have a very small, harder plastic mouth piece cover (or whatever you call it) that takes a small paper clip or such inserted into the hole to remove. In terms of the threading, is this a common thing or do I have some carts that are just out of spec?

The other thing I'm noticing is that I really get very little taste. I know my taste buds are fairly deadend so perhaps this will change over time. FWIW, I went with tobacco flavored juice/carts thinking it would help me transition. I can draw vapor into my mouth, then inhale it into my nose and get a hint of the flavor. Otherwise, not so much. Is this fairly normal or are my taste buds so dead they won't pick up anything yet?

Thoughts, comments?

i cant remember where on youtube i saw this mod -- but when you get cartridges there is usually plastic caps to seal them up and prevent leakage when in transit

take one of them caps off -- and cut the sealed end off -- flush so that it makes a hollow tube -- this should now fit over your battery and atty

but before you do that --- cut a small hole in the side --- and when you put the tube over the battery and cart -- leave that small hole where your gap is

this gap now acts as a "CHOKE" --- place your finger over the hole when vaping and let go

its not a perfect solution -- i too have issues with this on my 510 when i use cartomizers instead of the atty's and thats the only solution i found so far
