Couple different questions from a e-Noob. Tips tricks, thoughts needed?

so due to work lunch schedule, no more cig breaks and i'm really starting to use the hell out of the joye 306 (jantystick) and i'm trying to learn as much as possible. at first it was a cool gadget, but now its a reliable, dependable nicotine inhaler in order for me to live and survive

couple questions

I am going to be using eliq after i'm done with prefilled carts. So if a cart comes in menthol XL 25mg , once its done can I just drip my 36mg on it? or do i have to take out the filler, clean it, dab it, and fill, and repeat for each fill? it seems to be a lot easier to just drip some in while at work than to to go over that process all day at work. Maybe drip at work and clean at home? or have a couple clean ones ready all day for me so i can just drip into the car or atty when ready?

Also, everytime i take out the cart, the atomizer does start to burn a little. I see a little vape but since the atty is burning dry i wonder if that ruins the life of the atty, shouldnt the atty only be burning when saturated with a liquid? Should i be taking out batt first, then removing cart from atomizer ,which is much harder by the way. (reminder, Joye306, janty stick). I must say i do get a nice vape cloud and i do enjoy it, but my other question is, would i still get vape once the cartridge and atty are dry? In other words, do i have to depend on my taste buds to tell if i'm just inhaling blank vape, or will there be no vape when the eliq runs out? I did a semi trial and put my mouth right on the atty and took a pull and i must say a good amount of blank vape came out, which i didnt inhale, but i'm starting think that its up to ME to see when the nic is done, since the atty will produce vape no matter what you have in the cart, is that correct assessment?

any tips on how often to clean the filler on a prefilled cart? maybe a few days then clean? a few uses then clean? I have been reading about the bluecart mod and other mods to make the filler last longer so reduce the use of having to switch out, or take out filler and clean and repeat, so i might be doing that too, but i feel its just as easy to drip into a used cart that still has white, clean looking cotton inside.

Also, the reason i ask about the vape with no cart is because i dont want to be puffing away, thinking i'm fine, but have no nic in the cart and basically waste my time, so i didnt know if it was up to me to see if the liq is gone by taste and feeling, or if the atty would stop producing the vap once the liq is gone.

maybe the one trial i did, when i put my lips on the atty, it had some juice on the wick which caused the vape? and normally there should be no vape with no liq on it ?

Okay, I read and think I understand what you are saying. yes it is up to you to tell if the cart is running out. the mesh that covers the bridge in the atomizer goes all around and down to the underside between the atty and battery, it does hold quite a bit of juice. It's when the juice starts running thin you get that wonderful acrid taste, telling you the cart is not feeding the thirsty atty. If you prefill your own carts leave them somewhat wet on top and put the cover on them, when you replace them and do not have the luxury of being able to prime them with a few drops of liquid, hold the assembled unit upside for a few seconds and let the wet stuffing prime the bridge first before drawing on it. you may only get a slight bad taste the first puff, but if you hold it too long you may flood the atty. Help? yes/no?

oh, cleaning the cart? If you are changing flavor, ya. If not, don't do it too much before rinsing out the stuffing and keeping fresh juice in it. Life of the stuffing depends on what you are using as stuffing, but sqeezing it out and rinsing can keep the flavor of you juice fresh and keep old gunky stuff out of yur atty

thanks for your help, and yes i was asking that question, but wasnt asking it right, so you have a good reason to be confused, lol.

I have noticed that when cleaning out the cart, and prefilling it with your own eliq, that it pulls and vapes much better than the prefill cart. Keep in mind these carts were purchased months ago and while still individ. wrapped, maybe they dried out a little bit also. My atty is falling apart (2 new ones are on the way) and some of the weird taste might also be from the atty not working. Once side of the wick bridge has broken so its kinda just laying on the metal U contacts but can be moved or torn easily.
