The new Riva's are different than what I ordered a month or so ago. The 510 cartomizers that I ordered won't fit it. I have 306 cartomizers that fit it. My 510 atomizer from my previous kit won't fit on the new 510 Rivas I bought. How am I going to know how to shop for cartomizers?? This is suppose to be a gift, 2 actually, both have different threads ? Anyone have input for me. I'm kind of leary to turn a new user out with these. The old Riva is branded Riva in tiny letters, and the new ones have much larger writing on the battery connector. Is it possible I got the wrong thing. I double checked my order to make sure I ordered 510..

The RIVA is available in both 510 and 901 threading.
The 510 RIVA battery has female threads, while the 901 has male, and they are visibly different. They also come in a different gift box.

Any atty or carto with a 510 connection should work with any battery with a 510 connection, barring a few exceptions (namely ego atties/cartos).

Cartomizers are produced in large quantities, to keep them affordable. Even with the best QC, there are bound to be a few sub par cartos that make it to the shelves. It is strange that a whole 5/pack seem to be faulty.

Can you provide a link to the 2 items in question?

A joye 306, has the same threads as a 510, and should work fine. I don't know what a 902 is, but am assuming it is an 808d-1. If so, that should work fine on the RIVA 901.

Or just show me a picture...

Okay .. I finally found a 510 that fits it.. Royal Smokers 510 Ce2 R4 went on right. Too bad I'm not loving those cartos. So if I ordered ego 510, you're saying they shouldn't fit? They seem to fit the Hello Riva but not the EM-Riva. I was thinking I may have ended up with 901 batteries, but I guess not since the Royal smoker 510 cartos are fitting. I haven't tried every single cartomizer. I was hoping to not have to since it was a gift, but I did open another that had a large gap also.....these are the joye 510 cartos from Liberty flights on the Riva 510 from Liberty Flights. I can post a pic comparing the 2 batteries but it'll take a bit. There is quite a difference in the battery connector. I guess I'll open more cartos to try also.

If im following correctly, it is in fact a 510. the ce2 510 fits. so its a 510. and your saying the cartos you ordered with it screw on, but leave a small gap? do they fire? if they work then i don't think that is a problem. the threads on the carto in question might be a bit rough. take some steel wool to them.

If it's a faulty battery, i'll be more than happy to replace it... I'm just still trying to understand the problem.

It's not a total loss. After opening all 10 cartos I have 5 that fit the new Rivas. The other 5 don't fit. The ones that gapped small were able to be wiggled to fit. The 5 that don't fit, absolutely dont... they barely get started. However, they do fit my older riva. So I have them sorted out and most likely either the battery threads or the cartos threads need broke in. I was freaking out because I also have other cartos (from other places) that won't go in the batteries. I'm still a bit concerned but now I'm finding more cartos that are working so hopefully it'll iron itself out. Thanks for posting at least it got me to open everyting and try them all..

I've received a batch of bauway samples cartos, 510's None of these work on my Riva 510, the screw in fine but have no airflow, I believe therefore they must be the oem version of the V4L cartos that also don't work so well, possibly, maybe, ahem.

I've read quite a few negative comments (to put it nicely) about that brand... do what ya will with the samples, but please don't confuse me by selling them LoL I don't wanna accidentally buy them.

Really noticing quite the flavor diff and lovin' these Boge cartos (2ohm)... awaiting their arrival! (OK, that and another payday LoL)

the old trick with V4L was to cut a piece of a staple and lay it down on the pin inside of the batt end of your Riva, then screw on the carto, this gives them contact and a space for airflow Abe, just in case you wanna use them, hahahha

All 510 atomizers and cartomizers should fit on all of your 510 rivas. If the threads are visibly the same, but just dont work, I would talk to these gentleman of taking them back to take a look at. They will take care of you. Dont settle for something unless you are certain it is right. Try your genuine joye attys if you have any question. I do agree that the Ce3 rev 4s are being mass produced, but I have had 40 different rev 4's fit all 5 of my ego batteries with no issues. Rivas are the same threads, or at least I think they are.

My Riva 901 does not like any 808 cartos apart from the E2's, but i bought a 901 to 808 adapter for 99 cents elsewhere and now it works with all 808 cartos, and also it makes my charger work every time, the 901 charger has a problem where the little connector pad doesn't contact the battery post enough without keep lifting it up with a screwdriver before charging every time.
But now it solved both problems for me.

Hi FireFly, I thought that might fix it, I had best get a few hundred of those adapters!

Seriously, that would be a great idea, i am an avid 808 cartomizer freak so i have tried it with loads of different 808 carto types and it just works, every time. The cone still fits on perfectly too. I will mention though that it has to be the same manufacturer who makes the HG ones, i tried one from another vendor aswell which didn't work.

The answer is these riva aren't right. I've been using a riva for 5 months now. What is the problem is at the thread area the metel around the edge has a piece that protrudes . One of my new battiers don't have it and the carto fits fine. The one that has the protruding piece the carto won't screw in. Look inside and you will see it protrude. Or feel it. These aren't made right. My riva I had had for awhile is not like this. If I use a carto I'll use the one that it fits but will the one that protrudes have a problem with connection. Other wise I don't care.

I'm so confused... Are you (we) talking about EM 510 Rivas, Hello 510 Rivas, or 901 Rivas?

EDIT: Aren't all Rivas and Hello batteries manufactured by Hello?
